Is anyone going to see R.E.M. on this tour?

Spectrum is a bad place to see a concert. Sound is always fickle there. I am guessing the following is one of the shows you saw ... 12 October 1995 - Spectrum, Philadelphia, PA support: Grant Lee Buffalo set: Pop Song 89 / What's The Frequency, Kenneth? / Crush With Eyeliner / Drive / Try Not To Breathe / Wake-Up Bomb / Binky The Doormat / Losing My Religion / Bang And Blame / Undertow / Strange Currencies / Revolution / Tongue / Man On The Moon / Country Feedback / The One I Love / Orange Crush / Get Up / Star 69 encore: Let Me In / Everybody Hurts / Java - Band Intro / Begin The Begin / -

My first REM show was in 1995. Out of the almost 700 Concerts I have been to I would put it in the top 10. The Setlist was 23 June 1995 - Madison Square Garden, New York, NY support: Luscious Jackson set: I Took Your Name / What's The Frequency, Kenneth? / Circus Envy / Turn You Inside-Out / Crush With Eyeliner / Try Not To Breathe / Undertow / Welcome To The Occupation / Bang And Blame / Strange Currencies / Revolution / Tongue / Man On The Moon / Country Feedback / Half A World Away / Losing My Religion / Orange Crush / Finest Worksong / Get Up / Star 69 encore: Let Me In / Everybody Hu -
We are talking about live shows. I saw them at the Electric Factory in Fall 2001 and it was very so so...you can tell they were very tired.
-
Wilco was very tired and uninspired in 2001 then the re-energized.

I attended this show! It was sweeeeet!

Still some auctions up...wonder how they can pull it off? http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?f...&category0=

KADEWE Departments store has the best food court I have ever seen (Which Pillowystar mentioned) I must stress not to miss this!! Awesome! Also I liked the view from the TV tower!

She had the number one song when I was born. I guess I can't hate her! 1980 ... "Magic" by Olivia Newton-John

This just in.... http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/05/15/mcc...2013/index.html I thought MCcain said we would be there for 100 years. So he plans on getting in and taking till the end of his term to get everyone out! Or maybe he will pass on the war to the next unfortunate person in office after him just like W! Geez! I wonder how many more lives and billions of dollars will be spent during a war lasting that long!? PS...I also get annoyed when politicians say it is dangerous to withdraw from Iraq! Isn't it dangerous to stay in Iraq also!? Sorry for the rant!

Want to see KT Tunstall in Chicago?
remphish1 replied to VenusStopsTrain2's topic in Someone Else's Song
She has that other annoying song too. Suddenly I See. It would take roughly $1,000 for me to go willingly to that show. -
Some previous discussion on Alaska etc... http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?sho...20&start=20

Ah yeah it is a bonus track...I got it from when I bought the album at Best Buy I think!

I don't understand the Information hate. I really like and still listen to Elevator Music, Cellphones Dead, Dark Star, Think I'm In Love, No Complaints, We Dance Alone and This Girl That I Know.

Food prices going up...package sizes going down..
remphish1 replied to remphish1's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
I usually eat tons of fruits and vegetables a day (Those have gone up though in price recently!). I fell victim today to the mid afternoon snack though. -

Don't be surprised if they come out with a 50 calorie pack I did..finished them in about 5 seconds... -

and that's what I keep telling myself but cutting the portion in half means that the bag of chips is now twice the price. I did lose 20 pounds this year maybe it was because the portions got smaller! -
Cool... I already like it better than Wilco's "Spider"

Ahh made a trip to the vending machine at the office today and bought a bag of chips...bags of chips now are half an once in size! Back in the 90's it was 1 and 1/8 an ounce...anyone else notice simiar size shrinkage. Cans of soda sometimes have 11 and a half onces instead of 12....

Looks like very few gothy types anymore. Mostly college aged-40 somethings...saw a handful of teenagers.

I saw the Cure twice over this past weekend and had a wonderful time. Over two shows I heard 47 different songs! It is mind boggling how many different songs they could play in over two shows. Their shows do not disappoint and they are consistently over 3 hours long! You certainly get the bang for the buck. The band sounded great, Robert was on and I highly recommend catching a show! I also loved the themed encores! They played 7 songs off their 1979 debut album Boy's Don't Cry!!! Fairfax 5/9 Setlist Plainsong, Prayers For Rain, A Strange Day, alt.end, The Walk, The End of the World,

Wow that was fast! Thanks for posting the link!

I wish it wasn't $1,000 a ticket! But it was a benefit. I have seen Springsteen a handful of times and heard all but 3 of these songs from the whole show live before but never in a venue as such! Hope a tape surfaces!
