  2. I don't live in Scotland but I have visited! Edinburgh is one of my all time favorite cities. The castle and the city are amazing. Edinburgh has great nightlife too! I spent some time in Glasgow and Stirling both which I also enjoyed. My only negative is the prices. Coming from the USA it is hard to do anything there without spending tons of cash! I think my average lunch at a pub ran about $25-30. Can't comment much on the weather. Was there in November and we lucked out wiht clear slightly chilly days! Whisky kept me warm though!
  3. I just feel licenses are issued by the state and thus it establish some sort of endorcement. I can't wait to order my Star of David plates in NJ! * Speaking of which here is a picture of my favorite jewish related sign that I have seen while driving. http://www.flickr.com/photos/chromebowler/211080980/ *This would never happen in NJ, or any other state.
  4. http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/04/30/license.plate.ap/index.html In South Carolina the plates were already approved in the senate. This is a very slippery slope... Thoughts?
  5. FYI... I know some out here live in that area who like them... http://remhq.com/news_story.php?id=757 Also added Voodoo fest in October! Hopefully they will do a full fall tour too! http://remhq.com/news_story.php?id=759
  6. I guess I can understand the altitude statements. It must be a lot harder to sing in a higher altitude if you are not used to it. When I went to Colorado for the first time I felt dizzy from the altitude. But I am sure it must be annoying to hear the same statements all the time. Everytime I see a show in Camden NJ they say hello Philadelphia? Yeah I know it is across the river.
  7. My cellphone which worked a day or two later and my wallet which had all my important business cards
  8. Im not surprised with those prices....
  9. http://www.time.com/time/cartoonsoftheweek Some of these really made me laugh this week..or maybe just sigh....
  10. Maybe this is music blasphemy. I passed on a ticket today. I only needed one and it came out to $54 on ticketmaster! I am going to try and get a service chanrge free ticket in Brooklyn. If I don't maybe I will score one on the cheap outside the show! I guess I am ok with it because you can hear the shows crystal clear outside the venue! SOLD OUT IN 3 MIN!!!! The pool is massive! Good for Wilco!
  11. I don't know if I take much stock in this. I did see him once solo and once with Genesis. Both were entertaining. He has written so many hits it is mindboggoling! http://www.nme.com/news/genesis/36215
  12. They should add 4 more shows in Brooklyn and make maybe a residency where they can play all the songs in the recorded catelog! Hint Hint!
  13. I heard in Venezuela and Saudi Arabia it is around 15 cents a gallon!
  14. Every single episode of Seinfeld has a classic moment. It is the most popular syndicated show of all time and set the price record. http://money.cnn.com/1998/09/14/bizbuzz/seinfeld/ They don't pay $1,600,000 an episode for a show if it didn't have merrits. I agree in the fact that it is taylored more so to NY humor so maybe some people out of the area don't get some of the refrences!
  15. The Critic could have been better than the Simpsons if it was a couple of seasons longer!
  16. 50.5 cents a mile. That is the going rate which covers tolls and maintenence you would have to do on your car.
  17. You folks obviously never listened to Greetings From Asbury Park, Born To Run or Darkness on The Edge of Town..Though I would rank Wild his second best!
  18. I drive 300 miles a week just for commuting. I also work in a company that has a 160 mile stretch of territory that I must cover. I do get paid for mileage though when I drive during the day but the price of gas is really chipping away at the gas money! I average 22-25,000 Miles a year.
  19. I drive 300 miles a week just for work and that doesn't count if I have meetings during the day!
  20. I got sentimental over this pic... http://www.flickr.com/photos/rowdyreptile/554273896/ Jersey is still cheap in comparison I guess...$3.25 regular!
