Just one idea....there are several cars that get in excess of 40+ miles per gallon. If the government made the rise in MPG mandatory that car obtained said mileage sooner that would greatly reduce our usage. I just am worried that we are blindly assuming there is oil in the Artic Refuge and in the Ocean. What proof do they have? If we do this and we come up empty handed we will be in a pretty dire situation... Another change I would like would be improvements in mass transit. The Mass transit in the USA is very inefficient and not convenient. In Europe it is timely, convenient and relativel

As much as I dislike their beers this is sad. This is a symbolic American Company steeped in great American Traditions. One benefit is the beer may taste better if they use Belgian Brewing Laws! PS The Chrysler Building in Manhattan was sold to Abu Dabi recently.... -
I can't stand Bush. Here is another reason why!? He feels he is above all http://cnnwire.blogs.cnn.com/2008/07/14/bu...fshore-oil-ban/ http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080714/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bush I know gas is expensive but to do this is careless. If demand drops prices will follow. Why not use many of the hundreds of alternatives we have to reduce dependence. Instead of letting our usage get out of control the responible thing would be to use our alternatives and reduce usage. Not continue to let the demand rise so we can drill some more. We have the technology! What I don't get too is

I saw the Eagles a month or so ago and they put on a good show. They play 30 or so songs and it clocks in at over 2 and a half hours. I think they sounded pretty good in concert and the crowd enjoyed it....

I will be there on friday! Will report back here!

I have been a Billy Joel fan since I was about 8. Stranger is a great album! No shame in it! I do like his earlies stuff even better though. If you listen to Cold Spring Harbor it is hard to comprehend that this album was made as a 23 year old! Streetlife Serenader and Piano Man are great too! I have seen him about 7 or so times in concert and am seeing him next friday at Shea. I even met him once and he was very friendly! I do wish though he would spice up his setlist more and stray from the hit laden sets! Here is my Billy Joel top 10: 1. Zanzibar 2. Stilleto 3. Everybody Loves You Now 4

Aye. Badlands strecth into North Dakota too...Thanks for the correction on Custer's...So close..I guess...

One of my goals is to visit all 50 states. The last one I have left is North Dakota. I have an airline credit and know I will be there before next year when the thing expires. My plan is to fly into Minneapolis spend a day or so then go to North Dakota....so this leads me to my next questions. What is to do there that is not a big distance from Minneapolis? I know the Badlands are there along with Roosvelt National Park but thats on the other side of the state. Anyone been to Fargo or Grand Forks? Any national parks or historic sites to see? I know Custard's last stand was somewhere in ND. Any

The Iraqi government wants a timetable for withdrawal
remphish1 replied to MrRain422's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Yeah probably true....anyway I thought I would share my favorite argument thus far to stay in Iraq... "It would be dangerous to withdraw troops from Iraq" Hmmm but I guess it is not dangerous to stay in? -

remphish1 replied to MrRain422's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
I think some "mostly democrats" have been asking for a timetable to withdraw for years! Also on a similar note congressional approval rating is at 9%! http://news.yahoo.com/s/rasmussen/20080708...ongress20080708 -

I saw Urge Overkill at the Bowery in NYC about 2 months ago! They sounded verrrrrrrrrry rusty! They did mention they were recording a new album. Although they sounded unrehersed they played some gems off Exit the Dragon which is an awesome record (Take Me, Need a Break, Someone Else's Body, Last Night/Tomrrow) along with 8 songs or so off Saturation! http://www.flickr.com/photos/nattydotorg/2454771976/
