When I was in 6th grade the teachers in my district went on strike, my mom being a commie/socialist was tight with the teachers union so our basement became a strike HQ. (we lived acriss the street from the middle school). It was not really that great, I got stuck being tutored with the other teachers kids instead of being able to hang out with the other kids and watch cartoons and stuff.
