  1. It's probably worth mentioning that all the episodes are available for free on hulu.com. It's pretty painless and you probably have to endure 2 minutes worth of ads for every episode.
  2. I bet his OPS has jumped a bit the last few days. Yep, 35 points in 2 days.
  3. We are going to a White Sox game on Thursday with kimcatch and sooie!
  4. Wow, must be a bad year at DH if you put Thome on there. Dye is the wrong Chicago outfielder. The guy who is doing a little bit better is not on the ballot. I would bitch about the process of compiling the ballots at the beginning of spring training, but the real silliness is that the White Sox even thought about playing Jerry Owens over Carlos Quentin.
  5. It appears that you can download the MAME emulator as well as the Star Wars arcade ROM. You can play it that way.
  6. Anyone have a video of fans at Wrigley dancing to this song? It's perhaps the whitest thing ever.
  7. The oil fields are about to be leased to multi-national corporations. Some of them American.
  8. Yeah, it was a trouncing. Something like 150-100.
  9. Oney Guillen was promoted from Rookie league to A-ball. Here are his 2007 stats: http://thebaseballcube.com/players/G/Oney-Guillen.shtml 2008: http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...&pid=518750

  11. http://www.baseball-reference.com/friv/sco...e=28&age=28 Well, basically, offensive numbers went up and Glavine's numbers stayed the same or got better, which improved his ERA+.
  12. Not through age 28. Glavine's ERA+ was only 108. I guess one thing that's impressive about Glavine's career is that he got better as the league started roiding up.
  13. Anyone's a long shot to pitch till 42 until they start getting close. The comparison just was through the age of 28. Nothing more.

  16. A surprising comparison of Mark Buehrle and Tom Glavine drawn up by a poster on a White Sox board:
  17. 6'8 1/2" in shoes. He can reach as high as Joakim Noah, though--so the shortish height doesn't tell you that much. I think he'll be a good NBA player and better than Rose.
  18. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080626/ap_on_...YnBhnsi8bus0NUE I guess that'll be the end of Chicago's handgun ban, too.
  19. It comes out to a BMI of 28.7, just short of obese. Of course, you could have those stats and be perfectly fit. I'll go with the witnesses' description, though!!!!!!11!!!
