Need the help one last time. The Aeolian made it to the top 20 and I need you to vote for the top 10. http://radio3.cbc.ca/polls/?pollId=32 Ok, maybe I'll need your help one more time after that. Here's to all the vacant storefronts, brothels and crack houses surrounding the place that must have played big in getting it to where it is now. And it is really strange that the only Toronto venue to make it was Hugh's Room. I guess the Folkies aren't too hip to vote.

Got it signed last night. Think the inscription reads something like 'to my single malt buddy T - Kathleen Edwards' She was shamelessly flirting with my husband too, the hussy.

Not wanting to delay you or your fishnets, but I'm really really enjoying the mp3s in here: http://garagepunk.ning.com/profiles/blogs/...avorites-volume supposedly these were Lux's and Ivy's favourite songs.

Have it blasting through the SACD and the Rotel home system. I think you and frogie should try to hear the remaster enhanced disc. I don't hear much nasally singing.

Lynn - Thanks. Love to see the scans.

good article and I get a passing mention: http://www.chartattack.com/news/65873/lux-interior-was-cool Lux Interior Was Cool: 24 Reasons 02/04/09 11:09pm by Steve McLean (CHARTattack) 2 comments Cramps frontman Lux Interior passed away at 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning from a heart condition at Glendale Memorial Hospital in Glendale, Calif. Rather than dwell on the passing of this 60-year-old man, we here at CHARTattack want to celebrate the highlights of his life. Without further ado, here are two dozen reasons why Lux Interior was cool: 1. His birth name was Erick Lee Purkhis

New Romi Mayes. It looks like the years are getting to her. http://www.herohill.com/MP3/01%20Achin%20I...Yer%20Bones.mp3

yeah. It was an anti Courtney Cox moment. Got pulled up on stage to be a go-go dancer in 1983 or 84 at the Masonic Temple. Face licking and the fishnet destruction happened over a couple songs. The Goo-Goo Muck is dead, long live the Goo-goo Muck!

shit. http://www.thedailyswarm.com/headlines/cra...x-interior-rip/ He once licked my face a tore off my fishnets. It was on stage, but damn.

Love this album. Just love this album. I would recommend Palace Music - Viva Las Blues as the best starting point. I gotta go rewatch Matewan soon.

haven't had a chance to plop it into the SACD player, but listening to the MP3s, you are clearly on acid. on to: who is this chick:

Hello VC music nerds. Those hip indie dudes at CBC Radio 3 are running another 'Best of' contest. Except this time I've got a bit of skin in the game as the contest is for the best concert venue in Canada and the place I'm doing some booking/volunteering has made the second round. Aeolian Hall is a century old building that will forever totter on the brink of insolvency. It is also the best venue in the country. That may sound like hyperbole, but I've been to most of the places nominated and the Horseshoe, the Blacksheep, Trin-St. Pauls, The Dakota and La Salla Rosa don't hold a candle

Yeah. Living large certainly seems to describe her. The job will probably include a LCBO run or two.

oh geez. thanks. That makes 3 and a half of the 102 songs out in circulation.
