Got a note from the daughter about last weekend's show. I had said, 'don't be late for the Wooden Sky' and this was the response: 'The concert was great. Wooden Sky is AMAZING. But you didn't put any on my ipod, so if you have it, I might snag the CD to put on my computer on Thanksgving. The Acorn was good, as always. And Ohbijou was cool, but all their songs sounded the same, good, but the same.' Have to check out Blitzen Trapper too I guess. Damn this place.

Y'know the cuts to the arts funding thing has really got me pissed. It's not the actual cuts that bother me so much, although they do, but it's the reason why they are being proposed. They are aimed not at the arts but to garner the support of the people who don't care about anything artistic. There is no value in voting for someone to lead a country when their campaign strategy is all about dividing it.
