  10. Sure, but why not just listen to the originals. I mean a cover or two on a new CD is one thing, a mimic cd of extremely well known songs is in the 'not should have been done' category. Or maybe Pat just did this so he would have to move around a bit more and shed some pounds

  15. Crooked Rain Crooked Rain. I gave away my old copy and finally got the re-iss. Love the 2nd disc and read the booklet thing last night: '...Gary was the last to arrive - when he came in, Gary saw the band in full rehearsal, with Steve West playing his (Gary's) drums, you know, the one's with the big "GY' monogram on the front of the kick. I always thought that was a pretty cruel way to handle the situation, but Scott's a cold, cold, guy when it comes to business. He told me it was a little trick that Mark Ibold had learned from Michael Duane. Who learned it from Mark E. Smith. Who in turn

  19. It was fine at the time, but the laws have changed, yeah. That ending every sentence with 'yeah?' just seems soooo vancouver. I wonder if Dreamin Judy does that?
  20. shoo-be-dop-a wooey shoo-be-dop-a wooey la la la la lo lo
  21. That Concert A Emporter Arcade File quicktime. There's certainly a bit of spinal tap 'backs of musicians as they go onstage', but my god, is it unreal and great.
  22. oops sorry. About the only think I don't like about this band is that there is a ton of pretension with the lead singer. In concert, a number of songs are soooo emotionally draining that he sings them on the floor, or crouched down by the monitors. But that's my one quibble. I also think that artists should be Iggy Pop/The Hold Steady happy and smiling in concert or else why go to see someone who's a big drag. I'm not really objective about tortured 'artistes'.
