glenn is awesome. when i used to be in the front ensamble in band i used to bore the other people in the ensamble with trying to explain how glenn had cotales and vibes in his set up. they weren't as impressed as me... oh well. it'd be cool to see him play.

i was shocked when i went in the store yesterday and i saw them in the #4 spot (apparently fye's list is different). made me happy. OT- whenever wilco puts a new record out, i take it upon myself to move the actual #1 record and put the wilco record in it's place....

listened to the second half of the disc in the car on the way to school this morning. i think my love affiar with mr. young's music has been reawakened.

i got the massey cd this afternoon. it's amazingly awesome.

i saw them once when i was about 12, they were great. i got mad because dad wouldn't let me go up close, but now i see why

i wouldn't say that wilco's music is life-affirming, but it makes me feel better a lot of days, and i think that music is supposed to evoke emotion, so i guess they're doing a bang up job. i also have faith that they're just gonna keep going for things that they've not done yet, which is great. go wilco go!

really the only beach boys-ish sounds are their harmonies, i think. not as close as the BB's though. still nice. they really like V7 chords...

what does that mean?

That part always reminds me of these Bach organ pieces that we've listened to in class. I love it too.

they are awesome. this album is certainly a favorite for the year for me. "worst trip" is my happy dance song... Rich, they're like the Beatles meets the Beach Boys and they all got into a fight with the horn section from Chicago.

The only show I've walked out of that wasn't at a festival was when Jay Bennett played in Chattanooga back in 03 and we left when Ed Burch started reading some really racy stuff out of a book. They were 2 hours late even playing because Jay was having amp "issues"...s'ok though, because we got to talk to him for a bit. My dad's left out of several shows we've seen together though. Flickerstick the most times though...too bad, they're great.

What's the age limit, and where is it? If it's 18+ I'll try!

hooray! glad it's finally out. could somebody b&p this for me? i can't download torrents anymore, because i have no time to download them, and no computer to download them to. i'm thinking of suprising my sister with this for her birthday. she doesn't know the show's out yet.

i call people at shows to let them listen, not to talk to them. and i hold the phone down at my side or stick it in my pocket, the sound probably isn't that much better when you thrust the phone into the air 2 and a half feet or a foot and half or however long your arm is...

it almost looks like a soprano sax... anyway, the son volt record--- i've probably listened to it 5 times since tuesday, and i love a couple of songs, i even dig the horns, but it's kinda be like "eh, ok". maybe i'm too hooked on the new arcade fire and this m. ward stuff i got... i'm definately giving this record time, because i'm sure it's good, i guess i've not had time to digest it... i really don't think it's a return to the trace days, because the band sounds different. it's good, but i always wonder what they might sound like had the original line-up been reformed. i really like t
