So, yesterday I called the campus radio station and requested some Wilco. The girl who was DJ-ing read off a list of songs, and "Spiders" was among them... me: "is the whole "Spiders" or a radio edit" DJ: "it's the live version" me: (thinking "omg!") "sure, play that one" DJ: "no problem" 5 mins later "Spiders" was played to the entire campus via the huge apmlitheatre speakers. Have you guys ever heard the entirety of "Spiders" is a public place? It's awesome!

And God what I would give to see a show on that tour! Rhett said that one night Jay Bennett kept talking to him (drunk off his ass) and saying how his sister is a huge 97's fan, and how "Jagged" is the song of the year and on and on and on...

I first saw Wilco live last year, though I have been a fan since 2000 when my awesome teacher let me borrow all his Uncle Tupelo, Wilco and Son Volt records. The show was at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in Asheville, NC on 10/14/05, and not only was the set list comprised of almost EVERY song I had hoped to hear(even Magazine Called Sunset), but Jeff also said hi to me on stage. I fell over backwards in shock. Also, thanks to some wonderful folks, I got to go backstage and meet the band. Somebody sent me a link to these... thought some of you might like to download them. I've had all these on CDs for a while, but it's cool they are up on the internet. Jesse, you should totally be an honorary member of the band now! Thanks to Wilco and all their people for being so good to up. It's awesome.

just give the hq folks a few days to work their magic. no use in whining. just watch the dvd. i did, and i am tremendously happy because of it.

i just ordered it. hopefully it will be good. i don't know anything about the other guy on the CD... is he good? i like jay's stuff a lot.

though, i burnt myself out on that album this summer. i don't listen to him or the 97's a lot these days unless it's a boot or something...

i voted for the 11+ version at the end of the set, because that's how it was at my first wilco show, and i thought i was going to pass out from rocking so hard...

I agree that TN should get a solo show too... though we did get one song solo in Nashville in march... that was rad.

what about those people who don't have dvd players on their computer. i don't and my dvd is on its way from amazon (or it will be shortly, they said it's delayed for some reason)

i still haven't gotten it from amazon... this week is just not my week.

great pictures tracy!!! the height of the stage and the way the walls are make it look like they're in my elementary school auditorium, or at least i was reminded of it... that last one of jeef and a-man is awesome!! but why are neither of them smiling??
