That's a major assumption you jump to there. I praise God in prayer everyday for the gifts He has given me... I would argue there are just as many prayers requesting God to DO something, as there are THANKING God for what He has already done.

I was discussing the Serbia question with a friend of mine who is in bible school, and this is what he said: With the initial question about God not being involved with the children in Serbia I would say that God has foreordained all those acts to happen. God is all sovereign and we know that all things that happen are meant to glorify God and through all things (whether good or evil) God is still in control. I believe that He knows about everything. Everything that happens in this world good or bad is known by God. God allows us the ability to disregard his commandments, and many people turn away from His truth every single second of every single day. The atrocities in the world are a result of people who are very far away from God. Such as the babies you mentioned in Serbia. Scripture tells that acts such as that are abhorred by God, and those people will have to answer to Him when the time comes.
