  1. Me too. My friends looked at me like I was insane when I made them watch this at school.
  2. that's the exact same thing I was trying to convey in my first post, but you did it better! If anybody ever comes to me and wants to talk about God (or their belief of the lack there of) I will talk for hours, because even a "lack of belief" is believing that it doesn't exist. I don't understand that mind set though, that just because we can't physically see God (the being) means He doesn't exist.
  3. Look me up on teh facebook. Sarah Alyse Chastain though, most of you are prob already my friends.
  4. Cool to read that they are a good live band. I really dig the "Hospice" record.
  5. i am thankful to be pursuing an education in something i love for my sister and father's constant support for my dog's unconditional love for so many wonderful friends all over the globe for having the best voice teacher ever for all the wonderful opportunities i have had this year for still being employed at a great place
  6. The short answer is yes and no. God gave us the ability to exercise our own free will, and to stray from him, which is how the horrible acts of sin happen (such as rape, murder, etc).
  7. The Bible says, "Good works alone are like filthy rags to God"-- to paraphrase it slightly. While, it is good to do things for others, and show true Christian love, ultimately (as I believe it) the most important thing is a true faith in God and Jesus Christ as Savior. I've stayed away from this topic for sometime now, though it has been interesting to read things from an atheist world-view. Though, Donald Miller said once, that there are no actual atheists, merely people who God hasn't spoken to yet, or folks who choose not to listen to what He is saying. I am a liberal Evangelical Chri

  10. i can't get screen caps on my mac. i tried using grab, but it doesn't work
  11. I want to post it on my sister's facebook wall, cos she made a stomach face too, and it would make her giggle.
  12. yeah, i loved him. he was great, and a super nice guy too!
  13. Oh yeah, while I was typing the setlist I remember something funny that happened... right when the band came on, the drunks who were immediately to my left started flipping out about Jay. One guy was so excited he hit the monitor wedge and Jay said something like "There's a party going on down here." and the guys freaked out even more prompting Jay to motion with his hands "Let's keep it down there!" and Mark Spencer was kinda baffled by how excited these guys were and said "Easy guys, easy!"... I stood there like this: very bizarre. And, as if Jay's comment was some sort of eerie foreshadow

  15. It was a bit different. I actually got Jay's list. I can type it up this evening.
  16. He really couldn't have been nicer, although, Jeff is still my favorite of any musician I've ever met, but ya know...i might be a little biased. Weird about him saying he didn't do pictures, maybe it's cos your a dude? Oh yeah, it was a really good show. The songs from American Central Dust were great live. The last time I saw them back in Feb they played a lot of them too, but I think it really helps to be familiar with the record too.
  17. for sure. i didn't know what to expect meeting him, but he was in a great mood! i think a lot of it probably had to do with it being the last night of the tour. i am still smiling about it. though, i was cautious, and totally took the wilco button off my jacket before i went to the show. also, the support band was great! perter bruntnell was his name. really really good stuff.
