this sums up like three women around us. we were right by the bar too. the best was the one who tried picking a fight with the woman bartender.

there were also an abnormal amount of fights near us all night. didn't really detract from the show because we were still having a blast, but i'd never seen a wilco crowd get surly like this...

this really was the most memorable Wilco show I've ever attended. awesome night

From where I was (about four rows back from Nels), the crowd was kinda strange. A few drunk couples doing the open-palmed testify during every song, one dude who kept telling everyone "peace bro," a small woman who kept using my shoulder to try and boost herself above me in order to see, and finally, after I moved aside to let her in front of me, some jackass who grabbed me by the neck and asked me if I was going to let everyone shorter than me in front of me. I got in around 7:15 and went straight up underneath the stack on Nels side. Might be the most fun I've ever had at a Wilco show. Loved it tonight.

Baseball Furies in the house...

what a great set opener that song is.

Bought this today and it sounds wonderful. Also got an orange t-shirt that says Wilco (the album) on the front and (Alfred) the fan on the back and a promo poster. Only cost me around $24 after tax.

I've been telling anyone I know that will listen it's The Baseball Furies Chase score from the film The Warriors. It's uncanny. And I pretty much love this album, warts and all. It's not perfect by any means, but I do love it.

Yeah, as much as I loved this residency, it made me come to the conclusion that I just can't do that many shows in that small of a time frame anymore. That being said, I'd be back there for another residency in a heartbeat. I'd just be up in the balcony every night.

You guys who liked the Georgie James record really ought to check out Cold and Kind by The 1900s. Best pop record I've heard this year hands down.

I prefer the Misra release of Palo Santo, but you can't go wrong with the Matador re-release. The Misra version has a bit of a rough-hewn quality which I prefer, but both are quality.

It's pretty fantastic. Along with The Roadside Graves and Everybodyfields' records, it's made it an incredibly solid year for alt.country.

I'd never seen Rhett play solo, only as part of Old 97's, so it was definitely a different sort of creature. Schubas was packed, but the show seemed a little strange as it started at 7:30 promptly, and due to another act playing at 10, was over about 8:35.
