  1. Hey look! Pit tickets! And only $599! http://www.stubhub.com/wilco-tickets/?even...09&search=1 Lame, lame, lame.
  2. The L.A. pre-sales are always a joke. I think they keep all the section A seats for their "subscribers", then TicketBastard sells a large chunk of them to "professional ticket brokers" at an increased price, and what it all amounts to YOU, the fan, is... yer screwed buddy... welcome to L.A. Me and the missus may have to move down there by August, so I tried to score tix this morning, too. All that came up precisely at 10am was Section B, Row T. Screw that. I'll just hold on to my Berkeley Greek tix and come back up to NorCal for that weekend. However, best wishes and good luck to all of youse
  3. NorCal date now plz ok thx!!!11
  4. Crazy, huh? I want. I want so bad. Unfortanetly, the camping edition is something like a hundred thousand bucks. Yikes, etc.
  5. Wilco's new tour bus: http://www.verdier.ca/
  6. To be fair to Shane... since the initial reunion Christmas holiday shows in the UK a few years back, he hasn't missed a single show, and has had really no bad reviews. In other words, he's shown up, remembered the words, and made it through the whole set list. I had the immense pleasure of seeing them last March 18 in NYC at Nokia, and they were even better than the last time I had seen them... years ago on the Peace and Love tour. They are no novelty reunion act... The Pogues right now are firing on all pistons and are putting on wonderful shows. I really feel sorry for the folks who had tick
  7. i've been spinning the hell out of this solidly since the wichita show where i finally broke down and just went ahead and bought the damn thing. as much as i love it, though, i do have questions about overdubs. i mean, i wouldn't think they did... but you never know, you know? i've searched for interviews about the subject and found nothing. it just sounds so damn good... it makes me wonder. i'm sure there was discussion about this around here when the record came out, but i must've missed it. anybody got any info on the technical stuffs?
  8. A few more pics... I've been wrestling with some pic editing issues with my new iBook (my old system 9 photoshop won't work with it, and i can't figure out iPhoto for some reason), but downloaded Gimp and am finally back in the game. These are nowhere near as good as what's already been posted, but I thought they were kind of cool in an artsy-fartsy abstract kind of way. Especially the blue one... that picture looks like what the ending of Handshake Drugs sounded like (to me, anyay).
  9. what a great surprise to come home from drunken geography department night in aggieville and find this going on! thanks, wilco and npr!
  10. anyone defending this action is a moron. the only people who belong on the stage are the ones in the band and their crew. if you are the one jumping on the stage, i have these things to say to you: a.) the audience paid to see wilco perform, not you. b.) you are not a unique and special "cool guy", you are a dumb asshole. c.) if you manhandled a performer during a performance, especially one as "senstive" as jeff tweedy, then you deserve much, much worse than you got. this is not a van halen gig. i can't believe there is even a discussion about this nonsense. nels shoulda gone townshend on the
  11. break your heart... as in "i am trying to..."
  12. yep... 48... that was crazy. i've got some cool shots, but have tons of work to do today, so won't get them up 'til tomorrow. nice show... not as good as KC... but well worth the 2.5 hour drive there and back. jeff's banter was friggin' hilarious, too. must get a copy of this show. okay, back to work.
  13. wichita. i'm in and currently with ticket. hooray.
  14. cest la vie. even if the cotillion has some of the varnish stripped off of her, she still looks like a great place for a gig. i love that wilco chooses these offbeat and/or lesser used venues for their shows.
  15. never had a reason to go to wichita before, guess i do now. that cotillion place looks pretty damn swank. should be pretty kewl.
  16. i've always been a big lips fan... going waaaaaay back to the late-mid 80's, and i gotta say i'm more than just a little disappointed right now. this is the same show they've been putting on for what? 3 years now? with the animals and the balloons and the confetti and the what-have-you. don't get me wrong... that was great... fantastic... wonderful... but it's time for them to do something different. play longer shows, dive into the back catalog more (kim's watermelon gun & turn it on would be 2 great additions)... go darker with the lighting. i'd love to see them go out sans the big happy
