  1. It's a complete rip-off; I picked up "Armed Forces" (which is my favourite Costello album) at full price and "My Aim Is True" on the sales as the Ryko disc ones... but this just seems pointless. How many more different versions are out there? I can take or leave live tracks... sounds like they're trying to get the punters to bend over to me...
  2. I've not seen it unfortunately - it was been played as part of the Film Festival in Cambridge a couple of weeks ago but it clashed with something else. I'm hoping they're going to show it again... Shame it's primarily a concert though, was hoping for more of a full on documentary...
  3. Yes they do - heard it on the weekend at the Folk Festival; did sound rather odd initially and it kinda clicked!
  4. Finally got this to work this afternoon... it's good, like it - nice and upbeat and his voice sounds relaxed and not as strained as it does on Rock N Roll...
  5. About 1/2 way through... It's very quiet and gentle, reminds me of Low for some reason... It's certainly not catchy as I'd expected for some reason. In fact, it's too quiet for this afternoon, so now onto:
  6. Happy Birthday Kate! Hope you have a great, great day! Even Mozza is impressed:
  7. That gig was fantastic - I remember seeing it on BBC Four before, the Union Chapel setting was perfect for his acoustic music.
  8. The Dears! Well worth checking out... No Cities Left
  9. Have you heard the previous album? It's even better imo... NP: Ryan Adams - Bonus Tracks & Outtakes
  10. I really liked Batman Begins... not sure about Heath Ledger either... we'll just have to wait and see, Nolan's done a good job so far so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I'm still more excited about Spiderman 3 at the moment
  11. The guy is a genius and it would be a great shame if he was hang up his boots completely from making and ruining records... btw did anyone get t-shirts printed with "Jim O'Rourke ruins records" in the end? great idea
  12. John Butler Trio - Live At St. Gallen
  13. The opening 6 tracks are great... just a shame it outstays its welcome!
  14. My full review is online now, including some nice photos from Andrew! http://www.cdtimes.co.uk/content.php?contentid=3214
