groselicain
No, actually, it's LeRoy Bach. you might want to tell him that, because as far as I know, that's how he spells his name.http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/page/news/2004/01/29http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leroy_Bachhttp://www.rottentomatoes.com/p/leroy_bach/http://wilcobase.com/event.php?event_key=634http://www.hideoutchicago.com/press/sxsw2001.htmlhttp://www.vh1.com/artists/az/wilco_1/bio.jhtmlI'm sorry guys, but you're wrong according to everything I'm finding on the internet. Duck-Billed Catechist
oooookay, chief. The posters in question are acquaintances of Mr. Bach. There you have it. If you need an official source, check the presskit for the musical he performed for. http://www.awolproject.org/TheShaggs_ElectronicPressKit.pdf I wouldn't expect you to know who knows who or anything like that, but you kind of went out of your way to be a dick. I'm not really understanding what "posters" you're referring to, but I tend to trust Wikipedia and the official Wilco bootleg site a lot. And, considering I'm the one who stopped talking and you found one example, I'd have to say you're the dick, Dick.
Reni
ummm the "posters" = people who have posted in this thread = acquaintances of LeRoy.....I do have photographic evidence of this as well

HaikuWarriors41
thank god you guys arrived to clear this one up, i was starting to worry LeRoy didn't know how to capitalize his own name... EDIT: just in case anyone is misinterpreting my late-night sarcastic posting, i'm with kris, kate, sam, and brianne all the way on this one! the lesson here is that the definitively-presented knowledge of VCers (especially, but not limited to, the old-timers) should be valued above any number of google hits - this site and its knowledgeable fans are the true wilco encyclopedia. benjamin
NO ONE MAKES FUN OF JEFF LYNNE, BUDDY. Jeff is my fav Traveling Wilbury!! I should have clarified that it was ELO Part 2 that I saw, sans Jeff Lynn in Muskegon, MI like 4 years ago. They played with the Muskegon symphony orchestra, and one of the lead guy in ELO part 2 had a key-tar

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaJump to: navigation, searchThis article is about social groups, for other uses see Clique (disambiguation). A clique (pronounced klɪk) is an informal and restricted social group formed by a number of people who share common interests and/or know Jeff Tweedy - formal social groups are referred to as societies or organizations. Cliques are most notably found amongst groups of teenagers, primarily in high schools and colleges, but also in other similar environments, such as the workplace WIKIPEDIA!!!! LeROY!! Hodie
Welcome to VC, groselicain. Now you know which side of the clique fence you fall on! "Friends" of the band to the left, the rest of us... well, wherever. What's with the unnecessary divisiveness fosterage? It was a pretty straighforward conversation -- GroseLicain was asserting inaccurate information, the mistake was corrected in a perfectly sensible way ("No, actually, it's LeRoy Bach"), and then he got all snippy and "okaaaaaaaay, chief" about it. Any snarkiness thereafter was kinda asked for.

Preferred B
Is anyone's honest suggestion that if a couple of people happen to know how someone spells his name, they should spell it incorrectly on purpose to fit in? And play completely dumb if someone "helpfully" tries to "correct" them? Look back at who made a big deal out of people knowing this, please. There are definitely people trying to draw attention to themselves over this, but it was never originally Kris or Sam. Lord, but this is dumb.
ction
I've never seen a clique fence, but one time, when I lived in Hawaii, my shorts got caught on a 10 ft. high chain link fence we were climbing to get into an old abandoned WWII bunker. That was pretty embarrassing.
