bjorn_skurj
Can you play "Tron" on it?
brianjeremy
Looks pretty cool, even though the name is dumb. One thing against it is that it's not going to have Perfect Dark or OO7 for the virtual cube-thingy. I would love to be able to play my friends across the world and beat their asses once again in these games.
austrya
Add me to the bandwagon. I can't wait for this thing to come out.
benjamin
Can you play "Tron" on it? I need the Tron stand up arcade from back in the day with the sweet knob
anodyne
i think we'll end up with one around our place as soon as the first price drop hits.
Nowhereman65
i think we'll end up with one around our place as soon as the first price drop hits. Nintendo said its going to be under 300, so really no need to wait for a price drop. The ps3 is a different story though $
zach5277
I just want a Wii so I can play some of my old GameCube games. My old GC gave out a few months ago and I figure at this point it would be stupid to invest in a new one...
bobbob1313
I'm probably getting this over the 360 or PS3.
anodyne
i like the ps2 a lot, but i can't see rolling up to a ps3. not at that price.

There's going to be a service where you can download old-school games and play them on the Wii. So, you'll be able to play old-skool Perfect Dark or old-skoool Goldeneye and whip your friends. I'm not sure about online capabilities for these games (e.g. massive programming overhauling might be needed) but it sure damn sounds good. Especially playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the fucking awesome Wii.

WilcoFan
I am not a gamer but I would consider playing golf, tennis or baseball at someone's house if they bought this system. Actually looks pretty neat.
SlowBurn68
Everytime you buy a console game a flight sim dies.
cryptique
I haven't owned a gaming console since we had a Radio Shack knock-off of Pong in the '70s.
austrya
Crap, we have 2 gameboys, sega game gear, 2 NES, 2 X-Box, X-Box 360, and a PS2. We also have a Nintendo 64 that a friend has right now but is supposed to drop off. We use all of them but the PS2. We're getting a Wii ASAP...
SlowBurn68
There are so many gamers here that we need to start a WILCO online gaming clan. What games should we play?

explodo
yeah, the Wii is going to be ~$250-260Actually, it might be as low as 199. Nintendo said it definitely won't be over 250, which is incredible. Games, at least first party games, are also going to be no higher than 50 which is awesome considering the others are now charging 60-70 per game. Shit just isn't good enough anymore to warrant that kind of price tag. Needless to say, I'm super excited about this thing. Finally somebody is doing something different with the video game formula. Hopefully it succeeds and shakes things up like the DS has.
