bobbob1313
Once the dust has settled, maybe we can at least agree on cheering on the Big Ten representative in the Fiesta Bowl, whoever it may be. Side note: My kids were wrestling with each other yesterday and at one point the younger one executed a near-perfect takedown of her big sister. Normally I'd try to discourage such behavior, but in spirit of this week I instead reached into a drawer and gave her a sticker: Why did you give her marijuana stickers? OOO
Math, not meth. Math it is. Since I've joined up at this university, our football team has gone 45 - 3, or one loss for every 15 wins. We lost a couple of games ago, so we have quite a few wins before we have to lose again. We'll compound this with the fact that in my tenure we've never lost more than once a season (and never EVER in november), and it's statistically improbable that we can lose again this season. Moltisanti
You play in the Pac-Ten, come on. Not a chance in hell you have that kind of run if you played in the SEC. Stating the obvious, I know.

quarter23cd
Why did you give her marijuana stickers?Because who wouldn't love that??? I will admit, there is an uncanny resemblance between a Buckeye leaf and a pot leaf. I hear that Buckeyes aren't as good for smoking, tho.
buckeyefan
the game is already swallowing this city, and it's only Monday morning What is the feeling up there of a rematch in January? At first I was all for it. And if they are clearly 1 & 2 it is very hard to hear arguements otherwise. I haven't been back to Columbus in three years. Down here in SC listening to all the SEC pissing and moaning each week. I just finished an e-mail to the Post & Courier's Ken Burger that the SEC needs to just sac up and play football. Very proud of it. Hit send and lost it...

And that equates to playing in the Southeasten Conference, how? Every Saturday down here, you have a war on your hands(besides Vandy). We don't get to play Washington State or two teams from Oregon every other year.

quarter23cd
Oh, and fuck the Big Ten. The whining from the SEC this year about how "hard" it is to win down there reminds me an awful lot of all the whining from the Big Ten in past years when OSU, Michigan, Penn St, Wisconsin, Iowa, Purdue, (and sometimes MSU and Northwestern) were all very good (but none really good enough to compete on a national level) and boy we bitched and whined up a storm about how "unfair" it all was. It was a BS excuse for us back then, and that's the way it sounds to me now coming from the SEC.
MrRain422
I agree. There's some good football being played in the SEC, but if any of them were great, they'd be undefeated. Honestly, I think that Wisconsin may be as good as pretty much anybody in the SEC. Their only loss is to the #2 team in the country.

Honestly, I think that Wisconsin may be as good as pretty much anybody in the SEC. Their only loss is to the #2 team in the country. Arkansas is undefeated in the conference. Florida has one loss. I'd say that's pretty decent and is pretty much supported by their BCS rankings. I'm not saying the SEC is the best conference in the country, but you can't deny it's a tough one to play in either. IATTBYB
Tight fit in the 'ShoeTickets tough to score for OSU-Michigan clashBy JON SPENCER Gannett News Service COLUMBUS - Apparently, one of the hottest rock bands [ ]around isn't as hot as an Ohio State-Michigan ticket. Nickelback's request for four VI P tickets to Saturday's epic college football game was denied. "Not that I don't appreciate your music," OSU spokesman Steve Snapp told one of the band's representatives, "but if you were John Lennon asking for four tickets for the original Beatles I couldn't do it."
