Maddie Hope
I know I've banged this gong before, but damn how about an evening of just Wilco? That's who I'm paying to see.Yes, an entire evening of just Wilco would be a grand thing indeed... But thats not what we usually get... Only band I've seen live that didn't have an opening band was Pink Floyd... But it's all good, whomever opens, well I hope so anyways... Someone has to get the party started... truetolife
Cary Hudson would be a good choice for the Oxford, MS show. Edit: Well this might be a little odd for Cary since he used to be married to John Stirratts sister. Edited September 11, 2006 by truetolife

LouisvilleGreg
The no opening band concept is a good one from where I'm sitting. Springsteen has been doing it for over thirty years, culminating with regular four hour shows on The River Tour in '80-'81. Could Wilco pull off a four hour show? Hell, could they pull off a three hour show? They'd have to dig a lot deeper in the back catalog for sure.
jakobnicholas
Wilco has a great track record for great openers. I look forward to seeing who Wilco picks to open a show.

pickleboiler
Wilco had no openers at the Vic shows.
truetolife
The Kudzu Kings w/George Mc Connell would be another good option for the Oxford show. These guys were always a blast back in the day and George isn't playing with WSP anymore.
