Sir Stewart
I was disappointed in a bunch of the plot twists in the premiere, but the Taylor family continues to be the #1 reason this show is totally awesome.
ction
Overall I was not a fan of episode 1, season 2.
watch me fall
Just started watching the Season 1 dvd's over the last month or so and now I'm hooked. Wasn't too thrilled with the murder plot in the first ep of this season, though. Hopefully it's going somewhere unexpected.
gogo
i didn't mean about hitting the guy. just the not coming clean about hitting the guy.  and i'm being vague because somebody out west that went to see tweedy last night missed it and i can only assume she tivo'd it and probably hasen't seen it yet. You totally rock! I've seen it now, but I won't be back to my Tivo for this week's episode until next Monday. So I'll just steer clear of this thread (and maybe the internet in general) until then.  Yeah, I'm not sure about this development... it takes the show into more melodramatic territory, and that could be disappointing. Hopefully the writers will approach it in credible and emotionally honest ways.OK first of all, Beltmann kicks ass for bringing back last year's thread for this. Nice work. And yeah, I was not thrilled with that plot twist. I love that this show is about life's little dramas (well, not that Jason's drama is so little...), not about the crisis of the week. I'm interested to see where they go with this.  I was disappointed in a bunch of the plot twists in the premiere, but the Taylor family continues to be the #1 reason this show is totally awesome. The Taylors are the coolest family on TV, easily. bigshoulders
Wasn't too thrilled with the murder plot in the first ep of this season, though. Manslaughter would really be the more appropriate term. Or maybe Murder II, but there was zero pre-meditation.No jury in the US would convict that kid of Murder I.  All that aside, I'm curious to see what direction this takes. I would have much rather that they dialed 9-1-1 instead of dumping that sack of sh!t off the bridge. cheers,b.s.
Sir Stewart
I was complaining about the improbability of them deciding to dump the body instead of calling the cops, until my wife said "they're just kids."
gogo
They are just kids, but Landry is supposed to be a smart and sensible kid; and his dad is a cop; and Tyra is savvy enough to realize that it would be pretty easy for them to say that Landry hit the guy while he was attacking her, and they wouldn't be charged with anything. It's still not sitting right with me. ction
You guys are being too critical. There's nothing wrong with a little "today is the worst day in the history of the world and I think tomorrow may be even worse" ER-style melodrama now and then. I can't wait for Smash to get bird flu and Riggins to realize he's actually gay (those are both in week 4, prior to the terrorist attack in week 5). Sorry for the spoilers. It was ok, but christ there was a lot of talking. If I wanted to listen to talking I'd leave the basement and visit the wife and kids.
