explodo
I do love a good spanking of Notre Dame. Me too. It's among my favorite things in all of college athletics. But that said, this, along with every other BCS bowl game, has made me want a playoff even more. Obviously Michigan and Notre Dame were outmatched so you'd like to see LSU and USC get to play or something like that. And then who doesn't want to see Boise State play again? They'd stand no chance, but they're 13-0 so what the hell? They could maybe beat Louisville. Or Florida.
a.miller
LSU's dismantling of Notre Dame just further proves how badly there needs to be a playoff. Teams shouldn't get into bowls just because they're "in the club" of teams that "should" be there.
cwnorman
Glad to see Louisiana Simpleton University playing for hurricane Katrina. Notre Dame doesn

quarter23cd
Soooo. Anyone pumped up for the championship game tonight?? Seriously. Anyone? Hell, I'm about as big a Buckeyes fan as there is, but the wait has gone on too long. For as pumped up as I was for the Michigan game back in November, well...this is the opposite of that. I woke up this morning and almost forgot the game was today. This doesn't even feel like part of the same season anymore. This feels more like an exhibition game... Am I alone on this one? Rest assured, I will spend the whole day today pumping myself up and I'm sure I'll be into it by kickoff. Just not really feelin' it right now...

quarter23cd
The weather forecast is calling for light snow tonight in Columbus, which will serve the dual purpose of (1) helping put out the couch/dumpster fires, and (2) giving people an excuse to be a little late to work tomorrow. explodo
My cable company just dropped Fox so I can't even watch the game unless I go to the bar by myself tonight.
quarter23cd
My cable company just dropped Fox so I can't even watch the game unless I go to the bar by myself tonight. They dropped Fox?? Wow. I'm going to be watching the game at my mother-in-law's house where they don't have cable, so the antenna reception will be a bit grainy, but I can live with it. (I may make a last-second call to go watch on a big-screen at a sports bar, but am not sure I feel like fighting for viewing position)
quarter23cd
Well, here we go. Probably my last post before gametime. Go Bucks!
explodo
They dropped Fox?? Wow.Sho' did. They have been fighting with the owner of the Fox station for months and months and months and finally decided that they didn't want to pay what they were being asked to pay to air Fox. So it left Saturday at midnight. I assume it will be resolved at some point, but not before tonight's game.

explodo
Ohio is playing just terrible football.I imagine they'll heat up some, but I'm sure some of this is them finally playing a good team. From what I can tell, they didn't do a whole lot of that. Either way, it's going to get closer. EDIT: See?

explodo
I was talking specifically all of the mental errors, blown coverages and penalties.Which are at least partially due to Florida changing things up constantly. The ability to do that is one thing that makes them a good team.
quarter23cd
I'm throwing in the towel and going to bed. Hats off to Florida for a great game, but I also don't think OSU could have played worse if they tried. They've been in a fog all night and appear to be running at half speed and I see no signs of heart anywhere on this team. I never suspected that this team would show up this unprepared. I'm going to bed.

I'm pleased that isn't the case as a consistent hater of Big 10 athletics.
bobbob1313
Wow, what a day for the Gators. Leak probably just moved himself into the 2nd round of the NFL draft, and Smith might've dropped himself a couple of spots.
