vandelay
http://wilcoworld.net/tours/index.php http://www.primaverasound.com They already played there just before AGIB was released. Billy Bragg is in the lineup too. Any chance they share stage for a song or two?

vandelay
Don't they hate eachother? I knew they had issues during Mermaid Avenue, but I don't think they hate each other. Am being I too naive?

lost highway
Barcelona is one of my favorite cities in the world, better even than Paris.
MKHstudios
Europe in May - this could be cool.
summertweedy
Barcelona is one of my favorite cities in the world, better even than Paris. really? i prefer sevilla (in terms of spain, at least). i found barcelona to be extremely americanized (ie - it seemed people would rather we not even speak spanish to them since everyone speaks english there) and it felt a lot like new york...not like spain. that's just me though. and sorry to hijack this thread. I spoke alot of Spanish in Barcelona, but whats more, it is hard to keep up with the Catalan which is experiencing a strong resurgence. The barrio gotic is as full of tourists as one would expect, but its got great history, if you want to hang out with more locals its only a couple metro stops away to a less touristy neighborhood. Western Europe as a whole seems to have plenty of English speakers almost everywhere. I can't speak for Sevilla because I have never been there.

derivada
hi there from spain! i'm telling you, after catching both jeff's spanish dates last december, i kinda feel very lucky to have the full band back only after six months... i hope they add more spanish dates, i thought jeff's madrid show went way better audience-wise than the barcelona one, which was the winter edition of the very same primavera festival. i was also hoping for a wilco-bragg colaboration on stage. if they hate each other they should get over it, if not for them, for the kids (c'mon!) pillowy star
One can always hope for some German dates
m_thomp
Primavera has an amzaingly good line-up. I'm tempted to grab some cheap tickets and head out there..... but then I think 'Wilco in Spain???...... they're bound to step over to the rest over Europe around that time'. Basically I'm hoping for some UK dates. I'm sensing it will happen. New album to promote, a single Euro date.... doesn't stack up to me. Breath officially being held. bböp
.......which makes me hope even more now Jeff, if you're reading this: Paul so needs to do some serious sightseeing in Cologne with a personal tourist guide Yes, definitely! I've never been to Germany, so I'm hoping for some summer dates there. Actually, I'm really hoping to do the whole "low countries" tour--Holland and Belgium as well. Maybe I can even get someone called Gwen to come along.
pillowy star
Oh I am so totally sure that Gwen would love to come around and buy some Dutch liquorice! Belgian ice-cream and chocolate isn't too bad either Road-trip through the Lower Countries sounds complete fun
