Guest tandylacker
This album is in the sty. Seems legit.
kidsmoke
"In the sty"? So very sly.
nicburto
sure is - it sounds like it should
epifromaustin
sure is - it sounds like it should Hi all, I shared the stream some when it happened, but I've never been introduced to any pig...anyone have a favor they could share? I'd like to get to know... Oh, I placed my pre-order last night too...like a good Wilco fan. Mark
j4lackey
The pigs booted me due to inactivity (I was busy!). I wasn't gonna sweat it, but now I'm bummed...
welch79
i'm not gonna worry with this til i get my own disc in may...the "low bit-rate" version now spinning in my player will do just fine for the time being. i do want to know, however, from those of you "piglets" out there in sty-land how this newly leaked version sounds stacked up to the one that was out in early march (the one i have). let a bro know. I raved about it last night right after downloading. It's still much better than the web-rip, but not perfect. I'm glad I have it for now.
quarter23cd
What I hear (only played a couple songs) is that the drums feel more prominent, yet the high end sounded a little fuzzed out (I think it was the guitar solo on You Are My Face that I noticed this). I'm no audiophile, so I don't have a complete analysis or anything...overall, I'd say it might sound marginally better, but not a ton.
nicburto
it still has a fair bit of hiss - oh well
OOO
I figure i want, like, a teensy bit of surprise and fun in may, so I'm going to keep the stream i recorded as all I have. Sure, I'm not one of the "don't listen till it comes out yet", but I preordered my copy and thats the next version I'm going to listen to.
bjorn_skurj
May 15 seems like a long way off. Bad shit tends to happen to me in April, so hopefully I will make it through to hear this album in its full glory.
quarter23cd
Getting new copies of this record every couple weeks is totally screwing up my Play Counts in iTunes. The stream version of You Are My Face was already up to 27 plays, but now I have to start all over!

Guest Jules
If there's really a demand for this, I will YSI it tonight, but the majority seem to think it's not much better than the original stream downloads.
Spawn's dad
which means it's a poor rip? the original rip was REALLY good despite being a webcast? The album is unsalvageable in the opinion of the majority?

Analogman
71.07 MB
Spawn's dad
ah. not enough MBs to be a decent rip? I take it that it's not EAC or V0? the uber high quality stuff will surface soon enough and preorders will ship before we even know it.
Analogman
I don't think it is EAC - although I am not going to grab it to hear. I have already heard it and deleted it after passing it around. I don't need to hear it again until May. I think it was 200 VBR.
