jc4prez
Just got this album a few days ago. And while listenting couldnt help but notice the similarties between this track and You ARE MY FACE. The only real difference is the jam isnt as loud. But the tracks are very similar. Anyone else notice this? The melodies are even preety dead on.
jdmel
want to post that song?

TheMaker
They're really close, yeah. I checked out the RCR record after reading Tweedy's interview (awesome disc, by the way, if anybody hasn't heard it and is thinking about giving it a listen), and it jumped out at me right away. They aren't identical or anything, but "Hello Sunshine" definitely sounds like some kind of "You Are My Face" blueprint.

Iglesia
All I know about this song is I dig John's work on it. I'm following him around in my head as he's playing and it takes me places.......
TheMaker
I got it from the blue bird of happiness (and remote queues), if that's what you're asking, Szabo.
bensashi
The beginning also really sounds similar to Get Action! by The Delgados...may have been pointed out before.
drag ass snag
i think el tweedo deserves credit for owning up to this one. he could easily have keep quiet and who'd've known? it is really obscure. anyone who came across it and noticed would've just thought 'what are the chances it's not just a coincidence?' i wonder if the title influenced super furry animals on their (excellent) track 'hello sunshine'. though i seem to remember noticing a reggae or dub track also with that title from the 70s... peter tosh or someone? i've been enjoying relatively clean rivers. very summery. very laid-back. very 70s. PotKettleTug
Thanks for posting, calibeer. I don't get the connection - but I've always wanted to check out this record. Wow! This RCR is top notch. See a definite influence between the 2 songs, wouldn't say they sound exactly alike or maybe my untrained ear just doesn't hear it. Hello Sunshine as an I Know You Rider influence as well. Synthesizer Patel
http://www.amazon.com/Relatively-Clean-Riv...6304&sr=1-1 any other rec's for tunes like this would make my day. cheers. b I know quite a few bands/artists like this. For starters try out Nick Garrie. Here is an mp3 of the first track on his only proper album (at least I think it's his only album - it only got released in France for some reason, when it first came out, too): The Nightmare Of J. B. Stanislas If anyone enjoys that, I've got quite a few recommendations, but don't wanna spend time uploading etc... if people aren't too interested.
