Artifice
Doctor Blind : wowCrowd Surf Off a Cliff : wowMostly Waving : wow Emily Haines, Metric's lead singer and one of Broken Social Scene members at times, offered her best work to date here. She has great music in her, you know, as great as Jeff Tweedy's one. Thank you thank you thank you for posting this. Doctor Blind is... wow Emily is... :swoon: The mood of that song, with her vocal delivery... it's almost tangible. Complete immersion. The only hesitation I have in calling it brilliant is that it sounds disturbingly familiar, especially after the guitar comes in near the end. I can't place it though. A little help? Welsh Rich
I've gone back to that Maximo Park record a few times now and it still doesn't do anything for me. Probably because I thought the debut was SO good that this one was always going to struggle. They do put on a killer show though NP: This is what Bright Eyes' country record SHOULD have sounded like
Mystik Spiral
They do put on a killer show though their first time in denver tonight. it. was. glorious. i had so much fun. i don't think the venue (only 200 capacity) was sold out but it was pretty full and the crowd was really into it. np: and yes, i'm obsessive. just in case you were wondering...
