Big Perm
here in L.A., Culver City to be exact, corner of Sepulveda & Venice, they have transformed a 7-11 into a Kwik E Mart. You can go in and find, Buzz Cola, Krusty-O cereal, and Squishees. Pretty funny. I drove by it this morning, didn't have my camera, but found some pics. more pics

myboyblue
Right, it's a promotional thing for the upcoming Simpsons movie. I've read about it as well. There is at least one in Chicago that is doing the same thing. Pretty funny stuff. It actually gets people talking about 7-11. Good marketing move.

Mr. Kinsley
Huh?! I was driving by that last night on the freeway and saw the Klieg (?) lights in their parking lot. It never even dawned on me about the Simpson's connection (since I never watch it) and I couldn't figure out why they'd make such a big deal out of a re-done 7-11. owl
Yeah, I figured it would. I was thinking that I might rob a Quick-E-Mart just for the Simpsons junk. Too bad they don't have Duff, though.

Guest tandylacker
They even kind of recreated a scene with Bart and Milhouse on the roof getting jacked up on slurpies. Fun stuff. That show was incredible in the mid to late 90s. I miss those good ol' days. I actually quit a basketball team I was playing for when they moved the Simpsons to Thursday night. That was probably 1995, somewhere in there. Practices interfered with my Simpsons.
pnêyu
I'm trying to get to the one in Northern Cali, though it's way down the peninsula. Ugh. But man, I will not be denied my Krusty-O's with jagged metal O's!
