W(TF)
The copy cat trend continues. I'd nominate the two great Stacy Peralta docs, Dogtown/Z-Boys and Riding Giants.
yermom
I don't inhale...nothing against it, just not for me...but if I were going to, I would inhale to Fellini Satyricon.
bjorn_skurj
I tend to gravitate toward Kubrick films, old horror/devil worship/lesbian vampire movies, documentaries of all sorts.

anodyne
all of these are good choices (except the wes anderson movies. we've had that discussion before. i don't like his work). add to that the absolute best movie of all time for social situations and what have you -- the big lebowski. Was wondering how many posts it would take for someone to mention BL. I think Fear & Loathing was the better "situational" film, but hey maaaan, it's all totally subjective... Anyone here ever see Liquid Sky? Now that was fucking weird!

Apocalypse NowI was on acid once (quiet some time ago) when someone put this movie on. I must have stared at it for at least an hour, all the while thinking "what is this crazy shit!?" even though I'd seen it sober several times before. Verrrrrrry strange, indeed. bjorn_skurj
One time in the '80s, my friend and I took acid and put on "Hellraiser." Then we watched Ken Russell's "Gothic."

We used to drop acid and watch that over and over. The scene where Lance is tripping out and he tells Chef "hey man, you know that last tab of acid I was saving?.....I dropped it " would send us into gales of laughter. The Cooper video has tracers in it anyway...so that was fun for me, "seeing tracers of tracers" was an inside joke for awhile. This was on M2 back when all they had was music videos. That same morning they played all of The Cure's music videos...it was awesome for me. I vegged out with a little bit of dope in me and a jar full of cookies on someone else's couch watching the Cure all morning 'til everyone else crawled out of bed or wherever.
