foolnrain97
If it doesn't put you to sleep, then you're not listening to it right(and you are probably a highy messed up freak).
yermom
You should probably just lay down some kind of negative reinforcement mind-trick on them as such: For a period of several weeks (more or less depending on how often your friends are over drinking at your place), every time you put Wilco on, knock the shit out of your friend(s) as soon as the music starts and eventually, in the future, they won't be able to fall asleep because they will be all anxious and jittery in anticipation of violence being inflicted upon them as soon as the first few beautiful Wilco notes hit their ears. In time, you won't have to actually hurt your friends to keep them up for Wilco...then you get your cake and the eating it too...your friends are physically/psychologically unable to sleep through Wilco, so they can't expect you to turn it off because it's "making them go to sleep". What if you already do this to your friends?

giraffo
play I'm a Wheel or Kicking Television or make a playlist encompassing the Wilco songs that are more upbeat. Wilco is not party music unless you choose very closely.

dondoboy
I put on the first disc of Being There once and someone angrily responded about thirty seconds in with this witty observation; "Who the fuck put on the techno?!"

MunkyKayse
First rule in my house is "My house, my music." Same applies to my car. The moment I see anyone's hand reaching out to touch my stereo, it gets slapped. Or I at least want to slap it.
What Light?
damn people for having their own opinions about stuff. funny you should say that considering you have problems with how people post..............and put it on a priority list of things to complain about.............wow a hypocrite too.............you got it all..................... back to the original post.............yes most of my friends..............probably 75% of them do not like Wilco socially at gatherings or understand them..............it is frustrating..............because what they do choose to play I feel is way under the gods from Wilco..............but like many of their albums this band takes time to grow on people and some people I guess just do not want to take the time.............
