I don't understand how Francona can continue to use him in close games. Last night was a joke.

I don't think (I really hope) we'll be seeing Gagne in another game this year. Last night was a "do or die" for him. He died.

I thought we already had that do or die game and he died. So, why resurrect the f*cker? I turned the game off the moment he came in. I knew it wasn't going to be good and i figured my already weak heart couldn't handle it. I'm surprised i didn't just toddle off this mortal coil in my sleep last night. imagine my annoyance to find that i'm not dead. and ninjas too, i suppose.

Tito needed to really confirm that Gagne is crap?

You're right, though. Gagne has blow 3-4 games already by himself. Francona should not have gone to Gagne last night. He should not be sending him into close games at all. He's proven to be damaged goods and needs to be benched permanently.

Was Francona thinking about saving arms? Perhaps. This is when the team should be using their best arms (which have been used sparingly) for the final push to the post-season. Bone-headed move by Francona and hopefully the last we'll see of Gagne in a Sox uniform.

Oh well, looks like I'll have to revisit the Sox '05 postseason run from my living room.

Not sure why you would want to revisit that.

Also, I thought the Red Sox website was selling National League tickets.

Register now for the chance to buy tickets for all three rounds of the postseason. The Red Sox will conduct a random selection of winners from the pool of registrants for each playoff series. Registration for NLDS tickets ends Monday at noon ET.
