tugmoose
Jose Mesa was in the game? Does that mean that the Phillies have given up?It's the ultimate sign of confidence!
Reni
this was my second week in NYC and i have yet to meet a yankees fan. Everyone, from cab drivers to nuclear medicine peeps, to MRI technicians are all mets fans. are regular people embarassed to admit they like the yankees? I know quite a few Yankees fans from NYC - they all live(d) in the Bronx
jenbobblehead
maybe its because my hospital is jewish. and the jews dig the mets. although all my cabbies have been black. boywiththorninside
as for the person visiting NYC and couldnt find a yankee fan -- you blind sista I don't know, the 50,000 plus that fill the Stadium every home game could be confused Mets fans who got on the 4 train instead of the 7. 11-3. I have a headache.
PigSooie
11-3. I have a headache. That's odd. I have a boner.
bjorn_skurj
I don't blame anyone who is either from the Bronx or has roots in the Bronx for rooting for the Yankees. They should. That is their hometown team. Italians, too - the regard in which DiMaggio is held by Italian-Americans cannot be overstated. Some of my best friends, including my mom, root for the Yankees. Mystik Spiral
WOW, you Rockies fan have alot to celebrate. Where did you come from? Hope to see you next round in Chicago. Though I love your support, it appears as if we'll be meeting the D'Backs in the NLCS. Which is just fine with me.
tugmoose
NL west was the toughest division in baseball this season, so I'm ok with Colo-Ariz. Lets hope it's more like the tiebreaker and less like these division series dogs.

bjorn_skurj
Thank you, Freddy Merkle. I have always wanted to make a porn film centered around the 1908 NL pennant race entitled "Merkle's Boner."
