LouieB
moderator edit: For those of us who have the show Tivo'd but haven't watched yet: spoiler alert! There are a few in this thread. Nuff Said. LouieB
belleboy
They are renaming Muzzle of Bees to "C section" of Bees.
BigWheeledWagon
America's best band on America's best show. Not bad. Muzzle of Bees worked well in the scene. I think Wilco was used in an episode last season, too. The show has made some good musical choices -- Spoon for example.

LouieB
Early and late on the show. LouieB
Chip
It was interesting that they'd use Muzzle of Bees to usher in life at the beginning of the show and then again as a life exits near the end of the show. Very cool.
isadorah
i've never watched the show, had watched what was previously on and was talking to my step-mom when i heard the wilco and of course had to keep it on that channel.
bigshoulders
It was interesting that they'd use Muzzle of Bees to usher in life at the beginning of the show and then again as a life exits near the end of the show. Very cool. I thought that was very apropos.Seems like Wilco are ubiquitous all of a sudden. Not that I mind it one bit--except for the fact that tickets may be harder to get. cheers,b.s. LouieB
Spoiler alert?? What was there to spoil? The network finally figured out that if you have a show called Friday Night Lights it should really be on Friday. This is a pretty good show, although as far as I can tell it is on its last legs (so to speak.) There is only so much of a market for soap opera about a high school football team, no matter how steamy it is. LouieB
Analogman
There is already a thread on this show.
fatheadfred
What about the movie, Darwin Award? Y'all talked about that? Watched it last night. Winona mentioned playing song #2 off of Summerteeth to woo a girl. Later in the movie as Winona and Fiennes were gettin it on, She's a Jar played in the background. redstripe
i'm going to see connie britton's sweaty grimace everytime i hear this song from now on.
Guest tandylacker
The blonde haired girl and the retarded Matt Damon look alike kill a guy and dump his body over a bridge. Now there's a spoiler! I think they may have taken the show to a point of no return with this story line, but overall the show will probably still be better than most of what is on TV. loldoctor
I shit my pants when I heard Wilco. At first I thought it was Nick Drake for some reason... like, I heard it and I was like 'What is that? I recognize it.' and didn't even think of Wilco since they're never on anything... it definitely made the episode better. I agree with the above post that dumping the body was dumb as hell... I hate both of those characters anyway though.
Somnambulist
Monday night - Wilco featured in "How I Met Your Mother." The main character is looking for a Wilco cd at one point. A Wilco tune is played later on in the show. Thought it might be something off Sky Blue Sky but it was Passenger Side. Way to go to pull out the AM track!
miamico
I am a huuuuge Friday Night Lights fan...It is without a doubt the best show on television (although I don't love the dumping the dead body story line). Needless to say I am a huuuge Wilco fan, and when the two converged in one beautiful moment last Friday, I seriously almost cried. My girlfriend looked at me and was like "are you ok?" Going on in my head at the time was this thought "Wow, I totally imagine Wilco playing in the background when I one day am lucky enough to watch my wife give birth to our child." Once again Wilco cements itself as the perfect soundtrack to life. Now if only they would tour in Florida!!!!
W(TF)
Someone there has good taste, they've featured Austin scene stuff before e.g. Townes Van Zandt.
BigWheeledWagon
Someone there has good taste, they've featured Austin scene stuff before e.g. Townes Van Zandt. I also have noticed a real Austin focus. I seem to recall them showcasing a Daniel Johnston song as well last season, but I believe it was performed by Bright Eyes -- Devil Town, I think. CommerceComet
retarded Matt Damon I really like FNL, but it's hard to take a lot of scenes seriously since I read this phrase. I just crack up every time.
Big Perm
FYI - One of the show's EP is a big Wilco fan, having worked for him and seeing all the goods that made it on the show last season, you can all rest assured, MUSICALLY speaking, the show is in good hands. benjamin
I've recently started season 1, and I was pleasantly surprised at the music selections. Last night I heard some TV on the Radio and Bright Eye's cover of Devil Town. Excited to hear what's coming up on the next DVD episode
