bobbob1313
really? did santa send anything yet, hmm? Santa made a wrong turn at Helsinki and has been trying to find his way. (Or, more specifically, Santa just spent like 400 dollars on books so he's doing what he can. It's all here, he just needs to pack up the sleigh. The reindeer are being awfully lazy now that the big day's over.)

kidsmoke
how did that wacky chocolate taste? could you taste the lavandar? and the other stuff? Pink peppercorns? or did it just taste like chocolate? I'm sitting here with the last sliver of the dark-chocolate-with-lavender bar dissolving slowly on my tongue. I had to hide it from myself in the freezer to not just inhale it all in one sitting. How to describe? It's subtle, but definitely infused with the lavender fragrance. It tastes elegant, like eating perfume. Ok, well, here we see why I will never earn my liviing as a food critic. But suffice it to say, it's delicious stuff, and the dark chocolate is as smooth as satin. The dark chocolate with Brazilian pink peppercorns has the same satin smooth dark chocolate, but with an edge. Again, it's fairly subtle, but unmistakable. It's fragrance more than taste. As you eat a piece there is this wafting scent like a touch of white pepper in a recipe. It's very cool, and odd how the two tastes suit one another. Go on, go take a bite of some excellent dark chocolate, and then unscrew the lid on a bottle of white pepper and breathe in gently. See? It's a little like that. Now put the white pepper away before you start sneezing all over everything. Easily my favorite, though, as indicated by how quickly it vanished, was the milk-chocolate-with-Japanese-green-tea bar. Omigawd, who knew these two tastes would so perfectly compliment each other? The taste was warm and cozy like a good comfort food, and the tea flavor was pronounced but gentle, without any bitterness to it. I still have the wrapper because the fragrance is so intoxicating! I loved that the milk chocolate had crunchy little bits of tea in it. Fabulous. I only bring this up because Clouds of Fluff already hinted around about her own birthday , which isn't even until February 8th......but my birthday is way before that, on January 27th. Clouds of Fluff
(I was just pointing out that it was looking more like Via Birthday Pudding at this point and that would be cool too. That is all. Chocolates sound wonderful btw. )
