trevor
K so I must admit I stole this from the atease message boards, but it's pretty funny. The rules: 1) Go on wikipedia.2) Click Random Page - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random The title of this article is your band name.3) Click Random Page again. This is your album name.4) Click 12 more times. These articles are the CD's tracks. I've found it's a lot more fun if you exclude place names and names of people. This is my latest: Thalys--Portman Building Society1) vtiger CRM2) Chinese language3) Ever Fallen in Love?4) Soft serve5) Dobie (disambiguation)6) Novosibirsk Air Enterprise7) List of state leaders in 16518) 5 Alive!9) Stanley-Whitman House10) Black Venus11) Forest Park12) A Night in Amsterdam Indie-rock with some electronic leanings. The album drags a bit towards the end...

IEEE Simon Ramo Medal7. Babel8. Communist Labor Party9. Blatta10. Moro-Naba11. Somaliland shilling12. Humerus The Fixer takes its name from a comic book series in Bosnia, and in fact is a protest-folk-punk band out of Bosnia. They hate the American culture enough to name their album after a Mariah Carey song and sing about the Communist Party. They also are infatuated with insects, naming two tracks after various insectkind. They also have a fetish for the name Alice. But if you bring it up they will take you out with their IEEE Simon Ramo Medal-equipped Fascist-Killing Machine. It takes one Somaliland shilling to activate the machine though, so be sure to catch them on a broke day.

quarter23cd
Ha! From reading the title, I thought you were suggesting people create pages for fake bands on Wikipedia and my thought was "Great, just what we need. More disinformation on that site!" This sounds more benign, so I'll give it a go. 1894 in Poetry - Pique Assiette 1. Siphuncle2. Kaala-Gomen3. Sweet Savage4. Propanedithiol5. Labelle County, Quebec6. Golden Knights7. Yser8. F-2 (psychedelic)9. Llanilar10. 9th World Science Fiction Convention11. Dual Presidency Theory12. Clit River They are pretty clearly shooting for some snooty, highbrow literary art-rock stuff here with an awkward name like 1984 in Poetry--trying a little to hard to strike a quirky hipster pose. But the band's inner highschool-geek creeps out throughout the album, with some angular math-rock influences seeping into a few science-related song titles. And if you can wade through the academic posturing of the first 11 tracks, the "hidden" final track of the album is a shockingly crude 23 minute epic of potty humor called "Clit River". The less said about that one the better.
