LouisvilleGreg
I got through immediately this time, got the pass reserved, everything was going great..........until I got to the checkout page. For some reason unbeknown to me, TM would not recognize my credit card information. I had 7 fucking minutes to fill it out and even though I've used this card through them dozens of times, it would not process. It's brutal to have to resell your name and address 40 times hoping something changes, but knowing it wont. Needless to say, I had to literally watch the minutes count down and eventually they were released, due to no fault of mine. I had a minor meltdown and nearly smashed my desk chair. I'm going to ebay, as I can't bear trying to piece together five shows. Hell, I pay over $100 for Springsteen shows all the time, so why not Wilco.
Gewee
Well that's me buggered. I see on the site it says the presale is over. And no 5 day tickets left. I could try to get individual tickets from 12 tomorrow but I seem to have no ticket mojo. Guess I won't be '...coming home, via Chicago' anymore. Great, now I'm crying. Awesome. According to the wilco site individual tickets go on sale today at noon, "public" tomorrow at noon whatever the hell that means SINGLE SHOW PRE-SALE Friday, December 14 from noon-10pm: Pre sale for WXRT / JAMSingle Show Tickets OnlyLiimit: 4 per person

ZenLunatic
Also scalpers all over ebay now asking way too much. SUCKS!
PigSooie
StubHub's tickets are sold by people like me and you. The prices are made by me and you. They just take a cut for selling them for you.

sureshot
i think its time to just go back to putting tickets on sale at the box office only and having to buy in person.

darkstar
they're just guessing/assuming they'll get tickets to re-sell, common tactic Dead on...Also the music biz can be a sleazy endeavor...lots of promoters, venues, etc over the years have been implicated in ticket scams with various ticket companies i.e holding back stuff for sale on secondary markets. Not saying anyone involved with the band would do so ( I believe Wilco truly cares about their fans ) but it would not surprise me if venue owners or people involved with the issuing company ( Ticketmaster or whomever ) were not on the up and up. Also lots of people make tons of dough on deals like this and hire people to flood ticket sites, stand in line, whatever in anticipation of making the quick bucks. Really the only way to stop it is if people no longer used stubhub or other broker sites like this. But as this kind of thing is a supply and demand issue there will always be people willing to shell out $500 for a $30 ticket....don't see anyway this scalping thing will end....it does suck for those who are dedicated fans and get shut out by folks who are only in it for the money. I know it does nothing at all for anyone who is dissapointed today, but 2 things...there is always the general sales for shows, and maybe some of these broker types will get stuck with a bunch of tickets no one will buy and they will take a monetary beating...... ZenLunatic
i do. they're still an enabler. and they're owned by eBay I see your point but there is the other side where you can find tickets under face value for certain events. I have nothing against ebay either.
Sir Stewart
i think its time to just go back to putting tickets on sale at the box office only and having to buy in person.Fuck that! Then I wouldn't be going!
ZenLunatic
I wouldnt mind Wilco having their concert tickets so the person who bought them has to use along them with guests, like airline tickets where they ID. I think they have the fans for shows like this to pull it off. Its more work but worth keeping scalpers out.
