lamradio
So for all of you Beatles fans (who isn't one), this is your chance to shine. I will be doing A LOT of driving next week for the holidays, and I want to put together the perfect Beatles compilation CD. You can: 1. Reply with an entire compilation (20 songs or so.. whatever would take up your standard CD-R)2. Just throw out your favorite songs that you think should be on there. This can include, popular songs, underated songs, underground songs.. Just whatever songs you think was their absolute greatest work. Thanks in advance!

lamradio
Leave it up to Analogman to add a reply like that.. It's true though.. It's probably impossible to make a 20 song "Best of" for the beatles because everything they produced was their greatest.. But keep those personal favorites coming.. Thanks

lamradio
Joke - Although - that's the way I listen to them. I don't think I could listen to them out of sequence. You know, you bring up a good point. I should pay attention to sequence when I'm building this compilation. For instance keeping the older stuff first, and then ending with their latest etc.. I really do take these compilations seriously for some reason.. But the more I think about it and the more people reply, its almost like you can't have a compilation.. You just have to play their first album, then their next, and so on... TCP
I really love the song "Long, Long, Long".... in my opinion it's probably one of the most underrated songs in the Beatles catalog. "Here Comes the Sun" is probably my all time favorite song, ever! "Blackbird" and "Day Tripper" are the songs that got me into The Beatles. "Tomorrow Never Knows" inspired me to get into the production side of music.
PopTodd
In general, my favorites tend to be the leat-played Beatles tracks (not that there is such a thing, but, for now...):Hey BulldogIt's All Too MuchI'm Only SleepingTwo Of UsShe Said, She SaidI've Just Seen A FaceYou've Really Got a Hold On MeEverybody's Got Something To Hide (Except For Me & My Monkey) so, there's a few

What I mean to say is - I would take all the cds and listen to them one at a time. They still sound funny to me - as from early 1970s-199? - I only knew the US versions. nicburto
Hey Bulldog is probably the best song in their catalog that is often forgotten about...so...don't forget it!

cryptique
I pared this down very quickly from all of the officially released material (though I didn't take anything from Live at the BBC). It clocks in at 79:50 (on Winamp, anyway), and it's very much geared to my own taste, but now that I've figured out this list I'm probably going to have to burn a copy of it for myself. I haven't sequenced it yet, so this is probably in alphabetical order by the albums the various tracks come from.
