remphish1
Going to Argentina for ten days in April! I'm so unbelievably excited for a new adventure. Awesome! I went to Argentina and had so much fun. Things are cheap down there, the wine is unbelievable and the sights are great! Have fun! I also went in April which was a perfect time of year to go! Tweedling
Alright so tonight we went to this bar called "The Red Bar" in Grayton Beach. We ordered a couple of things to eat and several drinks. We asked if there was live music tonight and we were told that a jazz band plays on thursdays. After talking to our waiter about the band he tells us that the drummer used to play with James Brown. I knew that JB had 2 drummers during his heyday but to make a short story short we enjoyed the drumming styles of John "Jabo" Starks. I do have much more to type but its late and I'm drunk but I would like to say I like this part of FL better than Miami............................................. Edie
We are on our spring break and spending it in Sea Side Florida. I know there are some Floridians on the board and was wondering if I could get some insight about places to eat, things to do or places to score (joking) We are having a wonderful time just being here but I always love getting some VCers take on things. Edie, I'd love to know what you guys have decided to do. Pardon me if it has been discussed in this thread. I did not read it all. Hi David We ended up going to none of the above. The grim reaper has visited our family waaay too often lately, so the energy to plan a vacation never arrived. Jake does have a fencing tournament in Louisville in early April, so we are going to spend two nights there. We are planning a trip to CT in June, after first dropping Jake off at camp in ME. Scott and I will then head to CT, where I will work during the day and hang out with my dad at night. Fenwick CT is a little slice of heaven. Later on we are all headed to MT and will drive, so we'll be able to see the Badlands and other sights both on the way and on the way back. Should be a great time -- I am planning to buy a new camera so I can take some decent pictures for a change. I just googled Sea Side FL -- I have never been to the panhandle though I have spent lots of time in/around Jacksonville, been all over south east and south west FL, and went to key west once. So sadly, if you had mentioned one of those places I might have been able to help a little Have a blast and say hi to Anna!
Preferred B
Is Seaside, FL the place that started off as a sort of planned community? Lots of pastel houses and tiny (really tiny) little shops? In 2000 I was on spring break in Panama City Beach and we drove there for a day. My memory is somewhat hazy, but I'm pretty sure I enjoyed it. We walked around and shopped and ate lunch. I have a pendant I bought at one of the little shops that I still wear. Tiny flowers in resin. Have fun!
