radiokills
i think this deserves a thread, considering glenn's connection to it. i find it to be an amazing movement, and i am currently obsessing over bands like: CanKraftwerkNeu!Amon Duul IIetc, etc anyways, discuss
JerseyMike
I really dig listening to Can. Hallelujaw (sp?) is a great tune.
tongue-tied
Faust! (that's my own emphasis, not a Neu!-like band name)
markosis
I really hate the term krautrock. Can is amazing. I just discovered Cluster, who are more in line with Eno type instrumental electronic stuff, and they're really good too. I should probably clarify my hatred of the term: Can is so unique and beautifully so, how can they be lumped into any musical genre? Especially one so stupid as "krautrock?" I think I'm going to start calling all American music hotdogrock. That way krautrock and hotdogrock can come together for some delicious results.
radiokills
Faust! (that's my own emphasis, not a Neu!-like band name) faust is rad, and Can's Tago Mago is one of my favorite albums.
SunkenKamera
I love Autobahn!
WaronWar
I really hate the term krautrock. Can is amazing. I just discovered Cluster, who are more in line with Eno type instrumental electronic stuff, and they're really good too. Where should one start with Cluster? All I have is some Can (Tago Mago and Future Days) and Neu!'s self-titled. So basically I need to get more, but what I have, I love.
radiokills
well you certainly cannot go wrong with Tago Mago, but get Ego Bamyasi as well. you should also check out kraftwerk. overall thats a pretty solid foundation.
ction
I rather enjoy the Scorpions (at least through Blackout).
willywoody
I love Autobahn! you must be a nihilist?
markosis
I have one Cluster record, Soweisoso. That's all I can recommend. I know they did a collaboration with Eno in '77. That can't be bad.
FourStrongWinds
CAN are awesome, how is Glenn connected to Krautrock??
verve13
I like Can and Faust but Agitation Free is my favorite band of that type of music. Check out Malesch, 2nd, or Live at the Cliffs of River Rhein.

tinnitus photography
Can is an amazing band. Jaki is an incredible drummer, one of the best. other bands I dig that i don't think were mentioned include Ash Ra Tempel, Brainticket, German Oak, and Harmonia.

sureshot
More descendents of the genre than members of it, but are pretty great. Insanely good drumming, and great use of tapes.
