Preferred B
Newark has awesome Portugese food! Â Yes! My dad used to go there for work a lot when I was a kid, and when we'd accompany him (usually en route to Baltimore or NYC) we used to eat at Tony Da Caneca at least once per visit. I miss that place.
Hodie
9th and Irving There's nothing really all that spectacular about this completely untouristed neighborhood, except that it simply shows what makes all San Francisco neighborhoods so spectacular:... That's the neighborhood my sister lived in when she was there, and I loved it. San Francisco is a very comfy city for me.  DC is absolutely without question the best city I've ever lived in -- and yes, I do live IN the District. It's a very neighborhood-y town, and I felt at home here the minute I arrived, 23 years ago. No one is more surprised than I am to discover how much I love LA. And it's not just my Jon Brion/Largo obsession, either. It can really be a great town, for music and food and groovy neighborhoods. It's just too danged bad about the smog, though. Bleh. ikol
Of the cities I've been to, I like Chicago, San Antonio, and Santa Fe. I also like the whole Montana, Wyoming, Colorado part of the country.
Lynch
I have not spent alot of time in the States, but I spent a week in Minneapolis a couple of years ago which I really enjoyed. Got to see Golden Smog at First Ave, check out the coolest record shop I have been in (Electric Fetus), and spend alot of money! Being in a city that size was quite the eye-opener for a small town Canadian boy. Would love to go back there one day.

Guest Speed Racer
Portland, ORDenver, COAlbuquerque, NMMinneapolis, MN (loved it so much I stayed!)Â Though I grew up in Chicago, I don't know that I would have liked it as much if I had 'visited' it. El Picador
??????you must have family there... Â It was kinda a joke. I was just seeing how many okies would catch that one. Actually, for some unexplainable reason, I like PC. I think it's because Enrique's Mexican Restaurant is there. I also like camping at Kaw Lake.
