You've seen Wilco how many times?!

Recommended Posts

So I know some of you have never seen Wilco (Hope y'all get to expierence it at least once!)...I know some of you seen them once and others tons...whats your story. Maybe add your first show and fond memory or even that happened at one of the events.

I have seen:

Wilco 9 times :dancing

Tweedy 3 Times

Down With Wilco 1

Autumn Defence 1

Firts time was

2/15/97 at Irving Plaza in NYC. They taped the show for HBO's reverb and had a food fight of sorts. It was the angstiest I ever seen the band and has remained my favorite time seeing the band

I also saw the band on Letterman permform Outta Mind and got to talk to the band before and after the show for maybe 15 minutes. It was just Wilco my friend and I out there. :thumbup

Wilco twice.. Yeah, I'm a light-weight..

But the first time I saw them was way back in 97.. They were part of a small festival in my home town of Greenville, SC. They blew everyone else off the stage.. The next time was in Charlotte last year. But I will be seeing them again in a few weeks in Charleston. :dancing

I'm not really a see-a-band-as-many-times-as-possible kind of guy, but I have seen Wilco three times.

Tweedy: once (last year's Living Room Show # 3)

There are very few artists I've seen more than once: Wilco, Elvis Costello, Billy Bragg, Andrew Bird, Ryan Adams, Richard Thompson, Neko Case, and only a handful of others.

Wow. It's taken 12 years, but I've seen the boys a lot. I need to get a new hobby! It was fun to go through WilcoBase and check out these shows. Doesn't seem like 12 years.

Twice, but it will be three times by the end of the month. I also saw the Autumn Defense once, but considering they were opening for Wilco, that probably doesn't really count. I've been a Wilco fan for seven or eight years, but they never seemed to play anywhere near where I was living for a long time. They're still not, really, but I've come to my senses and realized they're always worth the trip.

First show: 1997 at the Barrymore in Madison.

I'm honestly not sure how many times since. Four times last year: Madison/Overture, Chicago/Pritzker, Austin/ACL and Milwaukee/Eagles Ballroom.

Still ridiculously excited for the residency. Man, I love Wilco.
