LouieB
These guys are moving up fast. They started at the Old Town School, moved to the Vic and now the Chicago theater. All this in one year. What's next the United Center?? LouieB
Beltmann
I think Stacy and I are going to try to hit the Milwaukee show. Love the Pabst.

solace
i'm going to the Mpls show, but i may try for Milwaukee, and if not that one, Madison in June. tickets are a bit spendy ($32/40 here in Mpls), but should be a great show regardless.
Preferred B
Madison in June. Wow, how did I miss that? I had received an email about the Pabst show, and I guess when I looked down the list and found one WI date I stopped looking. Madison would certainly be much handier than Milwaukee, as much as I prefer the Pabst.

Preferred B
how is that place in Madison? GA? No. It's the Overture Center for the Arts, probably the fanciest place to see a concert in Madison. It sounds great, but it's very opera house-y. Wilco played there last fall. There are actually a few different venues within the Overture Center, though, and I'm not sure which one they'd be playing. Maybe by "Overture Theater" they mean the Capitol Theater? http://www.overturecenter.com/venuect.htm
Calexico
Great to see them hitting it relatively big over there. I saw them tour these songs over here, must be near two years ago now. Little arts centre in my town. I really hope they win tonight!
insideoutoflove
i'd really love to see them live..their music is just beautiful, i can listen to it over and over again and love the songs more and more each time i hear them. hope im back from school in time to catch the chicago show

solace
ah i missed it! touching acceptance speech? yes... and they cut off Marketa as she was about to speak, but then Jon Stewart brought her back out a few minutes later to give her speech... it was amazing
Dr. Steve Brule
I'm not a huge fan of Glen and the Frames, but I was certainly rooting for them over the Disney pap. He made his speech and the cut Marketa off with the hurry up music. When they came back Jon Stewart brought her back and she made a very lovely speech.
jcarlile1
Goddamn, that was some moving moments tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was my favorite Oscar moment, maybe ever! I'm so happy they won. Wow, they're playing the Chicago Theater! I saw them last summer at the Old Town School in Chicago, capacity 350 or so. They are really moving up. Glad I got to see them in such an intimate venue.

dixiecupdrinker
I saw them at 9:30 Club and I think we're going to try to catch the Baltimore show. Need to figure out advanced sales and all that jazz. anyway, dcd
myboyblue
Great stuff. Jon Stewart is a class act. I love the album and glad to see them so well-received. Hell, the Chicago Theatre may be too small now.

solace
Well it convinced me to put Once on my Netflix queue. true, it's a start if tickets weren't going onsale this coming Saturday for most of the shows, i think it'd probably have more of an impact... guess we'll see they definitely overbooked many of the venues in preparation for them winning an Oscar methinks
