CortezTheKiller
I'm not sure they've covered enough musicians in revealing their influences.
Analogman
Maybe he could do a tour with John Corbett.
CortezTheKiller
Maybe he could do a tour with John Corbett. Why'd I open that link?
Mrs. Peel
Maybe he could do a tour with John Corbett. Ugh, atrocious.
Analogman
Ok - maybe the Billy Bob Thorton Band then. ha ha ha
Mrs. Peel
Billy Bob played on the Henry Rollins show and it was horrifying. He did this awful song called "Hobo". I don't know what was up with Rollins because I'd bet money that in private he would rip the guy to shreds for the hideous trash he was "performing".
lamradio
Is anyone really going for the music? The place will be mostly filled with female Costner fans.. And dude's going just to hit on female Costner fans..
cryptique
BB Thornton was the opening act for an Elvis Costello show I went to a few years ago. We did not arrive in time to see him. We were not all that disappointed.

Mrs. Peel
There isn't too much music that makes me physically cringe upon hearing it. I can appreciate just about everything, even if it sucks, as long as it's evident that the artist is being sincere. BBT's songs were utter crap. He also played with Warren Zevon a lot. Puzzling. Gotta be a case of friendship gone too far. I hope.
CortezTheKiller
Gotta be a case of friendship gone too far. I hope.Sounds like it was the case when I read I'll Sleep When I'm Dead. I got the sense Warren had a bit of starfucker in him which tended to cloud his judgement - which was shaky at best in the 1st place.
Sir Stewart
John Corbett's song includes: "If this is as good as it gets, then I think I'm good to go." What a twat.
jimmyjimmy
John Corbett's song includes: "If this is as good as it gets, then I think I'm good to go." What a twat.Because you were brave enough to dig in and find that little tid-bit, your reward is knowing I just spit coffee all over the monitor.
Mrs. Peel
My personal favorite was "That's a whole other bottle of whiskey, that's a whole other case of the blues". And I swear to god that line is right in the beginning of a sound clip, and I didn't go listening any further.
markosis
I find it funny that they listed Robbie Robertson as an influence as opposed to the Band. That actually scares me.

WilcoOfTheDay
I don't care how bad his music is. I can't talk bad about him because I'm one of those "female Costner fans".
