Guest Cousin Tupelo
I say this not as a dig, but in all honesty: How can anyone who voted for Bush in 2004 -- let alone 2000 -- look at their face in the mirror? The depths of the horror of this administration couldn't be unexpected but are nonetheless unbelievable.

Good Old Neon
Yeah, there's no telling how much CO2 is being pumped into the atmosphere to fuel this frivolous discussion. Tell me about it. Just imagine the amount of CO2 exhaled by this administration in the lead up to the invasion. I find it very easy to believe. The whole administration is stacked with crony stooges. The people in the EPA who make those kinds of decision are there because of their loyalty to Bush, and if they didn't go along with it, they'd be replaced by someone who would. mountain bed
Amazing. Just amazing. Treating important information from the agency in charge of the health and well-being of the people like it's a viagra spam ad. There's almost never a day that goes by when your mind isn't blown by the sheer incompetence and arrogance of this Administration. Words cannot express how much I detest these pig fuckers. sweetheart-mine
here is a list that was gathered during my state's efforts beginning in 2006 to impeach bush and cheney, and then added to by a great independent who ran against our go-along-with-the-crowd democratic rep in 2006 (and lost). this list could no doubt be added to again by now, but here it is, for anyone who doesn't think bush and cheney belong in prison to consider. almost every state, by the way, has had multiple impeachment efforts going at least since 2004; state legislatures do have the power to try to convince the u.s. congress to begin impeachment proceedings. it's not going to happen, obviously, but in my opinion it most definitely should have. Ten Reasons to Impeach George Bush and Dick Cheney 1. Violating the United Nations Charter by launching an illegal "War of Aggression" against Iraq without cause, using fraud to sell the war to Congress and the public, misusing government funds to begin bombing without Congressional authorization, and subjecting our military personnel to unnecessary harm, debilitating injuries, and deaths. 2. Violating U.S. and international law by authorizing the torture of thousands of captives, resulting in dozens of deaths, and keeping prisoners hidden from the International Committee of the Red Cross. 3. Violating the Constitution by arbitrarily detaining Americans, legal residents, and non-Americans, without due process, without charge, and without access to counsel. 4. Violating the Geneva Conventions by targeting civilians, journalists, hospitals, and ambulances, and using illegal weapons, including white phosphorous, depleted uranium, and a new type of napalm. 5. Violating U.S. law and the Constitution through widespread wiretapping of the phone calls and emails of Americans without a warrant. 6. Violating the Constitution by using "signing statements" to defy hundreds of laws passed by Congress. 7. Violating U.S. and state law by obstructing honest elections in 2000, 2002, 2004, and 2006. 8. Violating U.S. law by using paid propaganda and disinformation, selectively and misleadingly leaking classified information, and exposing the identity of a covert CIA operative working on sensitive WMD proliferation for political retribution. 9. Subverting the Constitution and abusing Presidential power by asserting a "Unitary Executive Theory" giving unlimited powers to the President, by obstructing efforts by Congress and the Courts to review and restrict Presidential actions, and by promoting and signing legislation negating the Bill of Rights and the Writ of Habeas Corpus. 10. Gross negligence in failing to assist New Orleans residents after Hurricane Katrina, in ignoring urgent warnings of an Al Qaeda attack prior to Sept. 11, 2001, and in increasing air pollution causing global warming. For these reasons we request that Congress immediately initiate impeachment hearings.
bobbob1313
Nah, my head hurts from trying to keep up with it, I think we’re winning because of the surge, though I’m not sure because maybe it has more to do with there being no one left to kill, but anyways, I was distracted when the microwaves dinger went off announcing the arrival of my Double Double Cheeze Hot Pockets. I’ll watch the re-run highlite reel or maybe just wait for the movie inspired by the yet to be written Tom Clancy “novel” in which history is re-written so that we are the good guys and we win staring digitized footage of the deceased Sonny Bono and real acting from the very real and alive true conservative Fred Thomspon, with a cameo from Mitt Romney playing himself - sans shirt. sweetheart-mine
Kucinich brought a resolution for impeachment that took four hours to read. The media largely ignored it. The Democratic leadership wrote it off as devisive.ah, he did, didn't he. i heard so little about it -- probably a snippet on colbert! -- that i forgot. since paul wellstone (on war), he's been the only person in congress who has the courage to tell it like it is about this administration. i keep saying this on this board, but i cannot understand why most of our own congress keeps throwing us under the bus. yah, money and power, but there has to be more to it. why would they keep doing it when they're in danger of losing their jobs as it is with their longtime low approval ratings.
