Sir Stewart
The blogger here sums up why Norm ruled. Yes.

moxiebean
Norm's bit was absolutely brilliant. I loved the looks on the faces of those who didn't "get" it. The well-murdering line had me in tears.
Beltmann
My wife and I laughed. "What the H is that for?"
Duck-Billed Catechist
Honestly, I'm not 100% sure I "got" it. I just thought it was funny.
aricandover
I saw this sunday, and it killed me. everyone else was hilarious as well, especially Gilbert Gottfried.
myboyblue
Great stuff... I actually missed his when I was watching it. Funny how much of his material fell flat with most in the room. The comedians definitely got it. I loved Greg Giraldo's as well.
Guest Jules
Wasn't I reading that Saget was pissed at one of the comedians? He said he went over the line on the Olsen twins jokes. Don't remember who it was.

Don't remember who it was. A couple of them did but he seemed to enjoy one of them. If I remember correctly, it was Giraldo that may have offended him but Jeffrey Ross not so much. So Long
I watched it tonight, and was dying. "full of bologna"Â hahaha. I just bought the roast on ITunes simply because of Norm.

mpolak21
Norm has always been under appreciated in my humble opinion, this set was Andy Kaufman-esque, and damn funny. --Mike
stooka
I remember enjoying his time on SNL.

lamradio
Norm has always been under appreciated in my humble opinion, this set was Andy Kaufman-esque, and damn funny. --Mike I coudn't agree more. He's one of those commedians that not everyone understands which has left him under appreciated. He should do more stand-up. "Turd Ferguson"
OOO
He came to my campus once to do standup and in a crowd of hundreds i think me and my buddy were the only ones who "got it", which made it even more funny. It was the most hilarious standup I've ever seen, and everyone around us was bored. I've always loved Norm.
So Long
after the well joke, you can see an unsmiling Jim Norton saying "what?" or "why?"

tellya
I think I'm better at "getting" the old lady vagina jokes...
ih8music
after the well joke, you can see an unsmiling Jim Norton saying "what?" or "why?"yeah, saw that too - nice to see that not all of the comedians were on top of what was going on, too.
uncool2pillow
I remember enjoying his time on SNL.2 Great Norm MacDonald SNL Moments. 1) About a dozen times he said "...and that just proves my theory that Germans love David Hasselhoff." 2) Every time there was a list in Forbes or similar magazines about best & worst jobs, he'd quip, "and again, for the 10th year in a row, worst job: crack whore." mfwahl
He hosted Weekend Update during the OJ trial and he always had some good stuff. I remember sometime after he was fired from the show, he was asked to host. In his monologue, he said something to the effect of either I've a lot funnier or this show has gone to shit.  Awesome.
Lammycat
yeah, saw that too - nice to see that not all of the comedians were on top of what was going on, too.It took me a few jokes in to get the bit, too, though.

DrNo
I love Norm MacDonald, but I can't justify elevating this set to the level of Andy Kaufman-esque genius. He just told a bunch of corny old jokes from 60s roasts... It was ballsy, sure, but I definitely wasn't rolling on the floor or anything.Personally, I like the old lady vagina jokes. And dead baby jokes. Those are the best.
