He's in an episode of Andy Griffith with a bluegrass band. Real young and clean-cut looking.

 

Standard Bluegrass dress - brought about by Bill Monroe - who refused to dress like a hillbilly, as was the style for such bands, at one point.

although I find that I can't listen to him very often I'm surprised no one has mentioned buckley (voice just grinds on me but what a player)

 

also, chris whitley is way way up there for me.

I take it he meant that as a joke. Clarence came from a Bluegrass background - where one does not jump around, make faces, etc.

 

 

 

Did not mean to josh ya...........just that Clarence was really stoic in his composure on stage......his fingers and giutar stylings said all that needed to be said.....
