passenger
I think this is the list. I may not have the order exactly right. A couple of songs were inverted at the last minute. We only played 26 songs, because it takes us so long to change groups between sets. Jeff did all this with a migraine, but didn't tell anybody about it until the end of the show. I wouldn't have known if he hadn't said something. A very special evening. Some of the best music we've ever made with him. I'm sure someone will post pictures soon. Wendy said you'd be really jealous, but we were thinking of you. We had to re-start it a couple of times to get the intro right, but after ignition, it was flawless. chisoxjtrain
'Hey Chicken' That's a rare one. Also, first ever live performance of Glad It's Over.
passenger
Also, first ever live performance of Glad It's Over. And second ever (according to Jeff) performance of Let's Fight All in all, a lot of stuff we've never done with him and a lot of stuff he hasn't done publicly in a long time. someareteeth
It was an amazing night!!!! Jeff was loose and funny despite being right in the middle of getting the new album out. A few highlights for me: Hearing the one and only performance of "Hey Chicken", which is a challenging song to play and "Glad It's Over" "Thirteen" and "True Love Will Find You In the End" sounded achingly beautiful "I Shall Be Released" with one guitar, Jeff and the members of Sleepy Kisser singing harmonies. "Love and Mercy" great, great song
miss jayne
wow wow wow what a great night ya'll had. So many rarities. I am so happy for you folks (and yep a bit jealous.though Jeff did say he'd do that Gram song if you worked it up Ken so thank you! )I am excited to hear the show someday. Sounds like a good time was had by all...now we can look forward to some covers with the whole band hopefully.
tjr
"One Hundred Years From Now" was simply amazing to watch and hear, Ken. Yes, there was a couple of false starts, but how cool was it that Jeff wanted to make sure you all got a complete performance captured. And of course, once rolling, that song was one of the highlights for me. "Love and Mercy" will be one of the memorable moments for me. Getting to play bass and sing harmony, and then "I Shall Be Released" and "Heavy Metal Drummer" too! Thanks to you and your family for making this possible. And to Jeff and Sue for their generosity and kindness to all... I also was not aware of Jeff's headache until the very end of the evening.

Great song that he said he'd only played live once before.
mfwahl
Great song that he said he'd only played live once before.Did he mean solo or with the band?
Guest Jules
Did he mean solo or with the band? The band played it a few times back in '06 I believe. Well, I know they played it at Lollapalooza, so I'm assuming that wasn't the only time. Hey Chicken was played before as well, right? Another LRS I think?

yankee
Did he mean solo or with the band?I think he meant EVER. It must have been with the band since we were working from a full band recording to learn the song. Oddly enough, we ended up playing it for him (two guitars, bass, violin, drummer, and piano and a member of our group on vocals). We kept thinking he'd join in, but instead he just listened and looked like he was studying the song trying to piece it back together. He then joked about wondering why he'd only played that song live the one time. Oh, and there had been some confusion about whether our song choice was "I'll Fight" or "Let's Fight." We didn't realize until the last minute that these are two different songs. I think Jeff was thinking of "I'll Fight" while we were prepared to play "Let's Fight." Anyway, Jeff was a great sport to let us go ahead and play his song for him! And Bob rocked on lead guitar!
Preferred B
It sounds like another great night for you guys. I think it's cool that you chose some unusual songs - nice challenge! The band played it a few times back in '06 I believe. Well, I know they played it at Lollapalooza, so I'm assuming that wasn't the only time. Hey Chicken was played before as well, right? Another LRS I think? Yeah, Let's Fight was debuted in Fredericton, NB and played a few more times in 2006 according to wilcobase. Must not have been very memorable though. At the Hotel S'n'S show a couple years ago, Jeff did a snippet of "Hey Chicken." We hadn't warned him about the request beforehand, though, and he didn't know how to play the full song. According to Jeff "Hey Chicken" had never been performed, ever. He said the recording was done in bits with different samples and power rangers. He had never played it start to finish. It doesn't sound complicated but is a very, very tricky little song. The old town school wilco ensemble has been trying to master it for a while. Jeff did give us a few pointers. passenger
Northwest suburbs Way northwest suburbs. Even though this was his fourth time out, and he's been escorted every time, they still got lost. This year's excuse was that they were listinging to the new album at full volume and were distracted from their GPS instructions. So, anyway, their escorts got to hear what the rest of us won't get to hear for a few months. Just a phenomenal night of music. Every performance was dead-on. Love & Mercy was probably my highlight. First I deidicated it to my wife and then Jeff (not to be outdone) dedicated it to Sue. Tom and Andrew's harmonies were glorious and I got to share fills with my son. It doesn't get any better than that. Hey, lurking attendees, where are your pictures?

Blossom
Hey you guys! I'm a lurker who was there. I just have to say this was my first Living Room Concert and I was so overwhelmed (in a good way) by how amazing it was. Jeff & Sue's and the hosts Ken and wife's generosity was not lost on any of us. The hosts worked their butts off and Jeff and Sue sacrificed an evening which could have been spent at home/with kids. And in my opinion Jeff played a LONG time! So BIG THANK YOU to them. I was so impressed by the musicianship. There were times when the band led Jeff, others when Jeff lead the band, and still others when the band was more a back-up to Jeff...Jeff just seemed to know when to come forward and when to recede a bit and let them do their thing. It was lovely. A couple of times he said, "You guys probably know the lyrics to this one better than I do!" Another time he said, "You made it through to Hollywood!" (American Idol reference for those of you who are not keyed into this phenomenon). Since no one has posted pictures yet, I'll be the first. These were taken with my iPhone, I forgot my "good" camera but at least they are something since you must be chomping at the bit to see something/anything (and I don't blame you). If you would like to help me out with specifics/comments let me know here (the pics are numbered)...I put them on there last-first and must see about redoing that when I have the time. http://www.flickr.com/photos/28997313@N08/...57615760743833/ Enjoy!
