lowden11
What did they have people do at that photo shoot?
mattstrike
This was pressed @ RTI, correct?
lowden11
It was pressed in Germany apparantly
KramkonG
What did they have people do at that photo shoot? They invited fans from night one to come out to the theater...some were chosen to wear the Nudie suits, while one was holding the cake...everyone else formed a line to "get in" the theater while the photographer took shots... lowden11
Goddamn this looks cool. What's the image printed on the CD itself, a camel? It's the cake and it reads "happy birthday"
BigWheeledWagon
Impossible! Germany!? /ducks It had to be said.
Jesusetc84
I want to get this signed by all members of the band, then stick a marker in the camel's mouth and let it scribble some lines on the cover.
Elixir Sue
Thanks for the pics. When mine arrives, I'm going to blast Bull Black Nova, then put this album in the crate with the rest of the records.
HungryHippo
got my copy today! i will say that Wilco (The Album) features some of the best vinyl artwork i have ever seen. love the fact that the lyrics are printed on the actual jacket rather than flimsy paper and i'm also digging the pics. i liked the cd as well but i gave that to my boss since he missed Wilco at the Bonnaroo. about to put this bad boy on the turn table  edit- Deeper Down sounds wild on vinyl! Maggie
My LP arrived today (never having received a shipping confirmation email *from the Kung Fu store). I love the group photo inside the gatefold. The picture would make for fabulous desktop wallpaper if only it wasn't too large for my scanner bed.
gueringray
This was pressed @ RTI, correct?  Pallas, in Germany I believe. Best pressing plant anywhere. So cool this came early, unlike past releases!
Griddles
I love that the nudie suits are just the suits. Also the random people are good.
Spilled Milk
Bought this today and it sounds wonderful. Also got an orange t-shirt that says Wilco (the album) on the front and (Alfred) the fan on the back and a promo poster. Only cost me around $24 after tax.
HungryHippo
its mandatory upon first listen of the vinyl that you wear these:Â Â i have way too much time on my hands...
gabepride
This sounds way, way better on vinyl than on CD. Holy crap.
Central Scrutinizer
For a band that's aging (with its fans) it's a little frustrating that, while they included their lyrics in the gatefold, they made the type so itsy, bitsy, teeny, weeny, tiny ...
rockinrob
I got mine today, and I really like that they used the old style jackets again, like they did for sky blue sky. Â For those of you that dont know what Im talking about, most records these days have the artwork directly printed on to the cardboard. On this album, sbs, and most old vinyl, they paste paper with the artwork printed on it onto the cardboard. They can use thicker cardboard then, and it makes the record feel much more substantial, and I think they wear better over time that way.
watchtower41
its mandatory upon first listen of the vinyl that you wear these:  i have way too much time on my hands...   Where did those come from?
