Sweet Papa Crimbo
a friend (in Austin) tells me the IRS is in that building with the FBI next door One only hope that this is a terrible coincidence.
bleedorange
Well, the IRS has its own huge facility on I-35 in Austin. That's not it. I guess they could have satellite offices out there possibly.
OOO
An eyewitness who is also a pilot said the plane didn't seem to be in trouble and was going at full speed for a plane of that size, but thats just an unsubstantiated opinion...
embiggen
well, now they're saying the pilot set his house on fire before stealing the plane and crashing it into that building.
Hixter
He apparently left a suicide note/manifesto on his website: http://embeddedart.com/
Good Old Neon
Wow, it sounds as though pretty much everyone played a role in ruining this guy's life, with the exception of himself.
u2roolz
Honestly, while watching CNN I had to laugh when they said that the suicide note was 7 pages long. I'm not familiar with the lengths of suicide notes, but now that I read it it leaves very little for the investigators to figure out a motivation. I hope that this doesn't open up the floodgates for future suicide acts of pissed off people.
u2roolz
Also, according to CNN they say that the small airplane was stolen. He is a software engineer out of California.
Moss
Wow, it sounds as though pretty much everyone played a role in ruining this guy's life, with the exception of himself. And a 7 page suicide note, a bit self important I'm thinking.
cryptique
Much of what he says about the system is sadly true. Nevertheless, his note does suggest that he was more interested in blaming the system than in accepting any real responsibility for his own predicament. The guy definitely caught some bad breaks, but plenty of people have successfully navigated the very system that he believed was so maliciously stacked against him.
