Why are you surprised? I got two tickets and I'm still in shock that I got them. I had no doubt that this woudl be an extremely difficult ticket. Only Chicago show in over a year, at a tiny beautiful place.

I have 3 friends who i think got shut out. Is there another presale ?

This whole ticket pre-sale is a consistant fiasco. I've tried several times to buy in the pre-sale in the past and have only managed to get through once--and the tickets weren't choice. Today, I was forwarded to the waiting room at 5 'til 10, then I was kicked out--didn't touch anything, just didn't get to take the next step onto the ticket buying page. I then got through at 10 (or very close). And although the site didn't yet say, "SOLD OUT," I couldn't buy one ticket in any of the three areas available. Why not put more tickets in the pre-sale? Why not accomodate more fans? Why not develop a better online experience--2 pages that lead to frustration are 2 pages too many.

Probably only 10% of the tickets in the house are sold in the pre-sale. Go for the on-sale on Friday. Besides, pre-sale doesn't always mean "best seats," just "first seats." Add in scalpers to an already small amount of tickets, and it's safe to say that the pre-sale tickets are going to disappear quickly. Saw this happen on the last tour.

Anyone have any idea what the seating chart is for this, even? I wound up with Row BBB. Is that good? I haven't seen a single Civic Opera House seating chart that has triple letters for anything.

I posted this on the other thread. Pulled up the seating for this when buying the tickets. Triple letters look to be in the front.

Same exact thing happened to me. After it said all 3 sections were sold out, I hit refresh and it put me in the waiting room. After a few minutes, the waiting room page said it was sold out. It seems ticket websites always have issues when tickets are released (not just wilco - for just about anything.) You'd think somebody would have improved on ticketing software/hardware by now.

Here's a detailed seating chart. Triple letter rows are very good (and not on the chart)... Those are usually chairs set up on top of the orchestra pit.

I pulled 3rd row center for Chicago, but everytime I tried to hit "continue" after entering my CC info, it did nothing. I eventually timed out. I don't know if it was a problem with my computer or the site, but I heard others had the same issue. Nice.

That happened to me for the Minneapolis show, as well.

$%*&ng captcha killed me. I ended up with one ticket. needed three. XRT presale is friday, and big sale is saturday, hopingto grab one. Am encouraged that they have nothing schdled for after the 12th. Will need a residency ype deal to satisfy everyone who wants to go.

Finally there's something to be said for living out in the sticks. For the Des Moines presale I sauntered online an hour and a half after the presale began (I'd been in a meeting with no Internet access & therefore couldn't try right away) and got tickets, no problem.

Considering that the Des Moines show is followed by 2 in a great venue in Minneapolis and then Chicago, there might be, what, 100 fans in attendance at DM? ;)
