LouieB Posted March 5, 2013 Share Posted March 5, 2013 The Johnny Marr is as you would expect, well made, catchy, lots of hooks, and NOT the Smiths. Also I just don't know why he decided on the dark and somewhat unthrilling album design, but at least it came with a digital download. Kudos to Yo La Tengo, who have put our a really solid and enjoyable, if totally predictable album. This seems to be a period when established artists are releasing new material such as Nick Cave and Son Volt; giving VC a bit of a mature buzz for a change.
