Yeah, I saw that story. If they do re-open it, I hope it's downtown somewhere in an appropriately seedy building. Club Soda could never exist in newly constructed digs. I saw a lot of great shows there over the years. Even played there once.

Probably working overtime to pay off all those bets.

This is the same man who's fought for a Constitutional amendment to outlaw flag desecration.

I heard about this one guy who was a smug dick.

I think I missed something about falling.

Ya gotta live life "full hawk."

That's the question I keep pondering. Everyone grieves in their own way. For me personally, it's a very private thing -- something I don't really want to share with others, sometimes not even my own family. But I'm an introvert -- for some people, grieving apparently involves getting interviewed on television. As for the length of time ... do we have any right to expect that people should still be grief-stricken five years later? I didn't see the thing darkstar mentioned, so I can't really comment on what these people were saying, but if some people have managed to pick up the pieces and mov

You cropped out the little sign with your prisoner number on it.

That's especially true since they ran out of Fleming stories to film. I mean, look, now they're going back and remaking them. I kind of hope someone comes along (screenwriter, director, hopefully both) who can re-energize the series with some great original stories and a new signature style, whether it's with this new guy as Bond or someone else. I'm not sure the suave character of the early Connery films plays as well to today's younger generations as it did for those in its time, but this trailer gives me hope that they've found a way to update the character to appeal to the younger crowd

I don't think anyone was upset by your post, M. Chris. I sure hope not, anyway.

I love how certain people get to decide what the rules are around here. To reiterate: I'm in agreement with you on this one. I also happen to think A-man's response didn't help matters. That is all.

I am too, more or less. I just thought he was a bit harsh.

It's all good. Meh. He's made one good commercial ... and, to be sure, he was pretty darn good in it. I'll still take Bo Jackson, and at least a dozen others, before Peyton. But not Tiki Barber. Have you seen that piece of crap? It's for Comcast, or some other cable or satellite company.

Somebody obviously hasn't had his morning coffee yet.

...except that the best part of that commercial is "D-Caf! D-Caf!"

Interesting. I was just listening to this: (No relation.)

I am still sick, and it's pissing me off. Oh, and it's Monday.

Yes. Yes, she is. Anna who?

Is this where the line forms to give Lazy Locomotive shit about that whole Chiefs-Bengals thing? I'd be in more of a mood to gloat if I'd remembered to put my money in.

With a true mohawk (as I understand it, anyway -- never had one myself) everything but the 'hawk itself is shaved to the scalp.

This cracks me right the hell up.

Yes. I have always loved that exact moment of Roxanne.

Three other people from my department are now here. They're all sick, too. We were all hoping to come in and get some work done with no one else around. So much for that plan.

I've been sick all week, and still am. Coughing a lot, congested. It's gross. Naturally, I've not ever felt quite sick enough in the morning to call in, especially considering the super-hot deadline I'm dealing with right now (which is why I'm at work on a Saturday). But, being sick, I wasn't very productive this week (which is also why I'm at work on a Saturday). Ugh.
