Fixed. Seriously, I have never seen so many close-range shots missed by an otherwise competent team. I picked Clemson in the pool, but of course I'm happy to see the Blue get the win.

The 97% figure was being used by people who oppose the law, the point being that if 97% of rainfall doesn't make it back to the streams and rivers, it's ridiculous to prevent people from collecting rain because it was never going to make it to the holders of the water rights anyway.

I guess they did.

Still perfect in the family pool (7 for 7). I have to keep pointing that out for as long as it's true, because I doubt it will be much longer.

OK, I'll lose all my cred for saying this, but Bryan Adams was far, far better than I was expecting. I saw him in 1985 (on the Reckless tour) because my high school girlfriend loved him and she desperately wanted to go to the show, so of course I went with her. He played the local hockey stadium, and we were way down front in the general admission crush. His band was really tight, and he was a surprisingly good showman. His career went straight to hell after that album, in my opinion, but after that show I at least had some newfound respect for him.

Well, then I guess I won't be too surprised if Stallworth hires Little's lawyer. That's bullshit that Little got such a slap on the wrist for what was arguably second degree murder.

There are reports that Donte' Stallworth was legally drunk when he hit and killed a pedestrian. Sad, but if it's true he deserves prison ... and he'll probably never play another down in the NFL.

Only three games in, but I'm perfect so far in the family pool. For some reason I went with Butler in the VC one, though.

Spacehog. These guys played Club Soda in Kalamazoo while touring for their second album. They could have played a much larger venue, but I guess they wanted to do some small club dates, and you don't get a whole lot smaller than Club Soda (RIP). I went because I had heard one of their albums a few times and because I had nothing better to do that night. They destroyed the place. Absolutely blew the doors off. One of the best shows I've ever seen.

After our glorious week in San Francisco last summer, we're going back for two weeks this year. It's already booked and paid for.

This latest bit of news includes no mention of remastered CDs.

So you guys are following the regulations, meaning that the golf course guys didn't know what the hell they were talking about. Not that their concern wasn't legitimate ... they just needed to do a little research before going off on you.

You still have a few minutes.

As far as it relates to putting chemicals and other contaminants into the water, sure. That accountability should not extend to a fucking rain barrel.
-
I'm guessing that the atmosphere is breaking the law, too.

Yes, but ... it doesn't really sound to me like the water stakeholders' claims are backed by science/reality. These people are defending their claims based on longstanding laws, but if this 97% figure is true (or even if it's significantly lower but still a respectable number), I don't see any real validity to those claims or laws, and I think the right of the individual property owner to use the rain that falls on his/her land should trump the right of any water-rights claimant. It's not as if the property owners are harvesting every drop that falls on their land -- they're filling rain

Jon Stewart destroys Mad Money's Jim Cramer

I almost wish I lived in Colorado so I could violate this law as much as possible. link Who owns Colorado's rainwater? Environmentalists and others like to gather it in containers for use in drier times. But state law says it belongs to those who bought the rights to waterways. By Nicholas Riccardi | March 18, 2009 Every time it rains here, Kris Holstrom knowingly breaks the law. Holstrom's violation is the fancifully painted 55-gallon buckets underneath the gutters of her farmhouse on a mesa 15 miles from the resort town of Telluride. The barrels catch rain and snowmelt, which Hol

Fun. I'm experiencing a bit of a lag that's frustrating, but I've enjoyed killing a few minutes with this.
